Great work guys- can't believe we got it done in under 2 hours.

My mistake about the round 2 starting time - i've changed it back to round 1.

I couldn't help picking up forwards, at the expense of my defence. Would love to swap a forward for a defender.

Who you got

Even though I'm almost certainly gonna lose each round on HO and marks, quite happy with how it went.

Who you got

Stanley, Milne, O'Halpin and Saad all are on the table if the right offer comes along.

Because it was well set up to start with. Well done IWAP.

I kept picking Melbourne players. Swore I wouldn't.

blease and jackson trengrove up for offer

blease and jackson trengrove up for offer

Are you chasing any particular position, Big Jim?

mids

Also floating Nickoski out there as trade bait if anyone's looking for a forward...offer better be decent though.

Also SellarDoor up for trade if anyone wants a #2 ruck

IWAP, what's the deal with Rnd1 and the Sydney-GWS game and picking the lineup? Will the team be locked beforehand, or will it only be Sydney/GWS players and others are able to still be moved about before then?

Auto-drafting hurt me. Ended up with a shortage of backs.

As such am seeking any trades that give me a decent mid range back (say 100-200ish ranked).

Any of my mid-range forwards or midfielders is on the table.

Daniel Rich is open to all offers.

It's as you say it. Your squad of 27 players is finalized for that round so any trades / signings won't be available until round 2. But you can make any team selection changes right up until the following Saturday unless that player had already played that round

Wow Picken for Birchall. BrunoC (DarkDays) you must be desperate for tackles - as you are giving up a top player.

I was shocked, I'll admit.

Hey Bruno, how about Deledio for Bartram or Boyd for Zeibell? If your just giving top 100 players away I'll take a couple.

Happy with Picken, he complements my side nicely. I have enough ball winners in my backline, i needed some grunt.

High tackling backs are pretty rare too (Picken was ranked No.2 last year). With a new coach, maybe a new role, i think he could have significant upside as well.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
