i will get him to join tonight - what is code, and password again?

League ID: 175561 Password: demons

I'm just having to double-check with him - he has changed his tune on me -.-

So if anyone has an idea or another DL user wants in, that's fine

I'm interested. Which scoring system are you guys using? I'd highly prefer the dreamteam system as I play other fantasy games and don't really want to follow two sets of statistics.

Jastone it would be great to have you join - but note that we are using the category system for scoring. I play DT, SC and ultimate footy, and easily prefer the category scoring. You'll pick it up quickly if you still want to join.

Alright, i'm in. Is there an entry fee that is going towards prizes?

hold on, hold on - so do we swap draft possies now? Goddammit.

No. I've reset it to how it was orginially, and given our 2 new teams pick 15 and 16 respectively. Was nice having pick 1 for a brief period of time though.

* Trading picks

I thought it might be fun to open the possibility of trading picks. For example, Dave's Demons may wish to see if Dees forever is willing to part with pick 1 (and a lower round pick) for his two picks in the teens (picks 16 and 17). All trades must obviously be confirmed by both parties (either in this post or in the league message board), and must be arranged by 11:59 pm on Sunday 4th March.

The rest of the league will have the same oppurtunity to veto the trade, as they will during the season to veto any player trades. If a third of teams (6 or more) decide that any proposed trade that is agreed by both parties is not fair, they should let me know via this thread, the league message board, or via PM. They will have until 11:59 pm on Wednesday 7th March to make it known that they wish to veto the trade.

I realise the odds of getting a succesful trade of picks through is pretty slim, but thought it would add a little spice to the game if anyone wants to give it a try.

Seems a bit rough giving us newcomers pick 15 and 16 if you were going for a fair league :(. Oh well, I'm up for the challenge.

I might be sympathetic if I hadn't dropped to pick 14 before IWAP changed it back, bugger fairness I was stoked with pick 6. :)

Saigon Saints firstup, seems appropriate, every time I go to Asia my eyeballs end up flying.

Do we have any resolution of the scoring values situation? I was wondering if you could change it in the settings IWAP, I'm curious to see if it changes the player rankings values or if they are standard.

Jastone - if you scroll through this thread, you'll see that we originally set the number of teams at 14, and there already was a fair bit of discussion about the original draft order. Its probably not fair that you get pick 15, but I would consider it more unfair that the people who joined originally suddenly have their picks worsened, because 2 new teams were allowed to join, when it was said explicitly from the start that it would only be 14 teams.

Sure you don't have a top 3/4 pick, but you do have 2 picks in the top 18, which i consider to be actually be quite handy. To put my money where my mouth is, i'll trade first and second round picks with you under the trade rules mentioned above, if you agree. My picks 7 and 26 for your picks 15 and 18. All other rounds to remain as is. How bout it?

In my opinion, once the Ablett / Swans of the world are gone, there is not a huge amount of difference between picks 6 and 20 or so.

Done. I've implemented the 7.5 point system (in reality 15 points) as mentioned previously. I don't think it changed the rankings at all.

I, Saigon saints, will trade pick 2 and my 5th round pick to anyone between pick 6-13 for their first and second draft pick.

That has to be the worst trade offer in history, you are seriously overvaluing your pick 2.

I think the only way I can trade my number 1 pick by a three team or four team trade

That has to be the worst trade offer in history, you are seriously overvaluing your pick 2.

alot of people in UF would take Gary Ablett (2) as captain and an Andrew Embley (5th round) for examples, over Brendon Goddard and Nat Fyfe.

an absolute gun like ablett as captain and another very good player is arguably better than two 10-20 picks, because the captain may make up the difference if he does rack em.

Pick 12 and 21 not bad

Ablett will be gone by pick 2 and Pendels is good but not that good, I stand by my call. If you get a nibble I'll be happy to admit I was wrong.

It's a deal! Thanks mate, very kind of you to offer that. If you want to back out, let me know.

A reminder that midnight tonight is the deadline for any pick trades to be tabled. Looks like the trade b/w myself and Jastone the only one to go ahead at this stage. Any vetoes to this (or any other trade) needs to be received by Wednesday night.

Just over a week until the draft. Start doing your research!

Would it be possible to increase the max team size to 30? I dont think 5 on the bench will be enough to cover injuries and the byes.

can i also have a say and make a suggestion that the utility position should be enabled and take away one midfield position. makes planning and coaching that little bit more 'spicier'.

How does the utility work robbo, does it just have to be a dual position player?

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
