Chuck Loeb and his crew with a rendition of 'Sunny' called 'Sonnymoon' . This song currently tops the Jazz charts in the States ...

The great Dave Brubeck passed away a few days ago at the ripe old age of 91 (one day before his 92nd birthday). One of the all time great jazz composers.

Here's Oscar Peterson and Buddy DeFranco with the Gershwin classic 'It Ain't Necessarily So' . Duke Ellington described Peterson as the 'Maharaja of the keyboard' . Oscar does a wonderful job in bringing great feeling to this song. Buddy is equally as good on clarinet

Hi Guys,

New to demonland, so be gentle with me ^_^

I have a love of all things music, and Macca, you have posted a few of my favourites in George Benson and Oscar Peterson. I saw Georgie at the Nice Jazz Festival in 2008, he was simply amazing and Ray Brown (Oscar Peterson's trio), is one of my favourite jazz double bassists of all time.

Thought I'd start with a gentle one, Blossom Dearie.

Here's one of my favourite Ronny Jordan tracks . Warms up after at about 1.30 and Ronny's guitar solo from 2.45 to 4.15 is just simply magnificent. This song grows on you like not many others can. Hope you enjoy ...

I've been listening to a jazz compilation for most of the day. It's got some great tunes.

I had a look on youtube but couldn't find many of the songs. So for anyone with spotify, enjoy. And if you don't have spotify yet, it's well worth getting (It's a free app for pcs, but requires a subscription for mobiles)
