We need to put some pressure on the selectors to pick realistic sides to wear the Demons jumper.

If you want a reply from someone in particular you might want to try the PM function.

Team selection is not the panacea for our ills.

Fwiw, I think our selections have been decent. You might quibble, but you're essentially arguing about who our 21st or 22nd (fit) players are.

I disagree.

We need to put a more physically strong side on the park, at least until we get some MOJO going.

I don't know how things are between assistant coaches, but I'd like to think Our current coach is not being hung out, by the rest of the selectors, for some other agenda. There's ben a lot of talk about coaches, and Not giving your coach the players he wants is an easy way to discredit him.

That's why I want to know who the selectors are.

It's never been a secret before, that they're the 'Invisable Men'.

It doesn't matter who's on the committee, anyone who's on it will just be the advisors and Dean will have the final say. This isn't the Australian Cricket team, there's one guy in charge who lives and dies by the team's on field position, so will have the final say in selection.

No, I don't know for a fact that Dean has the ultimate right of veto, but it's an absolute joke if he doesn't.

I don't think so nash, In ther old days the selectors all had a vote on who made the team, Inc' the coach.

I can't believe bailey would put his neck in the Noose, by playing such a slight and whimpish side against the more robust teams. Yes we need games into them, and I'm one of the biggest pushers of the Youth policy. But letting them go in with no physical size & lacking leadereship and direction is a recipe to get rid of the Coach.

Are you saying Bailey wants a payout. I don't think so. So the selections are a quandry. It almost feels he's being directed to coach a kindergarten team. OK against the Suns, but not against the Hawks or the Pies/ Eagles/ Cats!!!

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
