Sponsorship

Is John Poulakakis doing a good job?

We seem to have a fairly weak level of sponsorship and even those we have don't seem to contribute as much as other clubs.

Kapersky was a fluke and I don't think we have a short sponsor.

As a member we get very little value from our sponsors in the way of discounts etc.

NB is not exactly Nike or Adidas and while thankful for Hancook and Drake they are not exactly big brands therefore I don't think they would provide big dollars.

We desperately need something like St-George Bank re-brand Bank of Melbourne.

This seems one part of the club that is not keeping up with the momentum of the rest of the team.

Well Richmond have no sponsor on the back of their guernsey.

St Kilda have Linen House as a guernsey sponsor.

THe Dogs have a taco shell manufacturer as their major sponsor.

You dont know how much our major sponsors contribute compared to other clubs, how do you

know they dont bring in the big dollars?

I say they're doing a more than satisfactory job..

How do you judge that Freddie??

We have great sponsors (they are that by definition, because they support MFC!!!). When we start winning a lot more, we will draw a lot more sponsors. Gawd, we are better off than others!!

ATM we are a long way short on memberships - who are all small sponsors of MFC.

Go Dees. Sign up if you haven't. Sh*t-ducks on the 27th. Bring it on.

We have 21 total sponsors, the most I can remember

i was wondering what our total number was...if what is reported is correct, that we are the MOST connected club to the Top End corporate world-I have no doubt that if the teams starts to climb the ladder there is no reason why we cannot have a huge sponsorship base, with many Business ventures connected.

This is one side of the Club that Jimma & the board can definately wake up. (why it has been dormant for so long i will never understand-But that is the past.

"Too infinity & Beyond" as a well known Crusader does say!! B)

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
