Round 1 team and thoughts

The pressure is on our midfield.

But more than that it is on our leaders.

Green, Davey, Jamar, Moloney, Jones, and Sylvia will be the ones to spend a great deal of time in our midfield.

The expectation will be on them.

Our leaders consistently disappoint and this is a great opportunity for the ones who the younger ones are supposed to look to actually earn that focus.

Let's hope they can do it.

Spot on.

Quelling and outperforming the likes Hannebery and Jack etc will also be part of that equation.

This game will be won and lost out of the middle.

We played in a GF in 2000 with Robertson at CHF and Bizell at CHB. That's pretty short!

Bizzell came to the club in 2001. In 2000 we had Neita at FF, Ox at CHF, Ingerson CHB, Nicholson FB. Hardly a short spine!

I just can't see us matching it with the top 6 or so teams on any given day.

Wow, just like last year with Collingwood x 2, Bulldogs and Sydney.

so on that theory, Collingwood will win a premiership after a draw, Melbourne will just miss the 8... it is 2011 not 2010, new year new team and new rules, who knows what will happen.

That's pretty much the midfield from 2008. Very nervous about that. Swans are quicker then thought so hoping Jones Moloney get caught out.
