Friday's game

Nothing gives me the s--ts more than knowing there are blokes in red and blue jumpers playing football somewhere and I am not allowed to see it. It is impossible. I notice last week the Richmond Football Club organised a live stream of their practice match vis their website. Why can't we do this? Why the hell are we in tassie anyway? I don't understand why the first round of the NAB cup is considered TV worthy, but any games played by the losers after that are not TV worthy. Why don't they just make it a 4-week round robin thing where every game is televised?

the worst part is there will only be about 3 people to witness it and give us an account of what happened

deep breaths. if i can get out of work early enough to drive up the highway to make it for the game, i'll provide updates. i'm sure some of the other regular tassie posters will be there, and will keep everyone updated.

updates, while appreciated, just aren't the same

Totally agree a round robin for 3 or 4 weeks would be much better. Anyone know if the live commentary / updates will be done again on the Melbourne website?

And yeah I also asked that last week, if Richmond offer a live stream why aren't other clubs? hmmm wonder if the Hawks will?

Go to the Club Website and look for this linkage, better than nothing Go Dees!

Join melbournefc.com.au’s Matt Burgan for live match coverage of Melbourne’s clash against Hawthorn at Aurora Stadium on Friday (6.30pm)
