Trading and Drafting

You know,

I have been watching these topics and posts about trading and drafting players from other teams.

What has come to my attention is it seems that the same people that are always saying what kind of players we need are the same ones saying no to every single player someone else suggests. Now everyone is entitled to their opinion obviously but seriously there has to be one single player people like who we need.

I in my opinion believe we should target Jesse White and target him hard. He is young so obviously hasnt been dominating the competition yet but he will be a star. Players like that don't come along very often.

If not then well (cue bashing) We need to go after Travis Cloke. See if we can give him a contract offer that appeals to him. Best and fairest winner, still young and has all the qualities that we as a team currently lack up forward. I dont care if he needs to work on his kicking, Jack Riewoldt needed to aswell and look what he did.

No disrespect Demon_Tingles but I'm moving this thread to the Trading and Drafting Forum Board.

Cheers,

Well Cloke is out of contract unless you have been living under a rock you would know that so if he goes to draft we can draft him .... seriously did you just ask that?

Not sure about White think hes out of contract too but i may be mistaken.

White is signed with Sydney through 2012.

Cloke's not going anywhere, his pinhead father just thinks he's a good negotiator and Collingwood are shaking in their boots over his ludicrous threat to enter the draft.

I can assure you of two things: 1) They're not, and 2) He won't.

Even if Cloke goes to the draft, GC17 still have more picks than the Seven Dwarves. They would certainly take him before pick 12.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
