    Because Melbourne don't usually have a logo on the jumper.

    Nothing can happen before November 1st. AFL/Clubs year ends on 31st October. Existing logo, jumper etc are licensed with AFL until 31st October. From 1st November new emblem / gear can then be licensed. Cannot then be changed for 2 years.

    That is why we could not change our clash jumper. A special exemption was made for the much hated silver guernsey.
