no chance, hate the stadium, i said after last time i was there i would never go there again!!

Whenever it's not interstate or at Geelong I should be at the footy, and so should all of you :P

Definitely. Will be heading off shortly.

Hopefully we have a bit of a turn out. Not 'liking' a particular ground never really seems a good excuse not to turn up. Get there and hope the boys can put up a committed effort and raise their heads after last weeks effort.

Also praying for no injuries from game. Always worried seeing that moving turf.

Go Dees!

The hot chips are $5 and they're half the size of the chips you get at the G.

And you don't get to sit level 1 even if you're a member of the away team.

I'm sorry, but the love of your team should trump your hatred for the stadium.

I've just come back from a weekend away. Need a power nap then I'll be good to go.

I think you are joking...I hope you are!

O well- I will be going but buggar the chips- get some doughnuts before going in.

Warning jayceebee. They wont let you take food into the ground from the outlets outside.

Okay, maybe 60% of the size. And they're $4.90.

I'm about to head there with my fiance who's a saints fan. Hate the ground also but I'm looking forward to seeing what the boys can produce. I'll be wearing my no: 27 guernsey for the occassion.

And FYI, if your a Melbourne member you can only sit on the 1st level if you pay for the seating, your membership only gets you a discount which sucks but that's what I'm doing.

thats your thoughts, and thats fine by me, but i have never had a good experience there, its a bugger to get there, a bugger to home from there, and a bloody expensive day at the footy

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
