All I could think about watching that video was Sylvio wacking Adrianna.

UFC 126 below

He is a god, a Jedi, a ninja, a freak. I was worried about this fight, thought Vitor was a big chance, I'm a Vitor fan too, but I just want Anderson's legend to keep growing. And it is.

What the hell was that kick?? I felt it in the back of my brain, but wasn't quite sure if I really saw it. Just plain craziness.

He credits Steven Segal with teaching him that kick, lol. I'm sure Chri$ Judd is impressed.

What next at MW? There's nothing left. Bisping? Give me a break, Jorge Rivera will KHTFO anyway in Sydney. I doubt the UFC would give Jorge a shot, but I'd like to see it. He'd try and KO Silva for sure. Marquart again? Pfft.

Anderson said he won't move up or down, he's staying put - So I guess it's on GSP to move up, has he the balls? I doubt it, and frankly think he has too much to lose in doing so. Only a massive pay cheque will make it happen.

The rest of card I didn't really enjoy.

Torres was too safe and boring, Banuellos even more safe and stupid.

Franklin and Forrest failed to deliver as well, I knew it would.

Bader was smashed, I was going for Bader but thought Bones would win, not THAT easily! Most exciting part of the card apart from Silva v Vitor was seeing Bones get told he has a title shot.

Rocha has the greatest Jiu-Jitsu that goes absolutely nowhere that I've ever seen lol. He's one to watch.

Prelims were good, Kingsbury was impressive.

Bring on Sydney.

BJ

Sots

Rivera.

Its become boring to just call him a freak. he is the best fighter on the planet imo. you're right about Belfort though, i thought he might worry him with his hand speed and for one tiny little flurry i started getting my hopes up. It's not that i want Silva to lose either, i've always loved how good he is despite some fights he was bored in, but i do want to see him challenged and under pressure. He is just too good.

not much in the rest of the card, Jones owned Bader in every department and i'm not sure Bader would be all that happy with his effort. Jones and shogun should be a cracker, and such a shame to hear about Rashad.

well i'm now counting down the days.......

Posted

God damn, thought it'd be lights out for Lytle.

What's with all the knees? Rua, Rashad, Condit...

Damn shame, that could've been fight of the night. Any word on a replacement?

No word on the replacement yet, but we have been told to get to acer arena early as they have added a 12th fight to the card.

Not happy about Condit Vs Lytle not happening. this fight has barely rated a mention but after sots vs Siver, this was the fight i was looking forward to the most.

Carlos Condit pulls out of 127 with a knee.......NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKK!! I had no idea! After the Sots fight I was looking forward to this one the most. A replacement has been found in Brian Ebersole- I had never heard of him, don't think he has fought in the UFC previously but he has won his last 7 fights.

Dissapointed.

I feel for Rashad blowing out his knee but ecstatic that Jones gets a title shot, I was on this kid the moment I saw him step in the Octagon and now I get to see him go for a title shot in the flesh. Bring on March 19th at the prudential centre Newark! Can not wait!!

If i was you i would'nt feel too much for Rashad cos he's a turd, and i would be wrapped you get to see Jones instead.

btw....you can still buy tics to that, and right up until the start of ufc 126 tic were still available for that. they don't sell out over there like they do here.

btw again.......Rashad will now fight Rampage instead at a later date

No they don't, I was always under the impression they sold out in the states, just not as fast as they do here. I guess when you only have an annual event for a whole nation everyone wants a piece- what do the US get, more than 5? Canada sells out quick too. All that kerfuffle over nothing at the end of the day- still can't believe I didn't need a code for the UFC fight club pre-sale.

Oh Jones V Shogun is a dream match up. I feel Jones will win but Shogun is a great fighter. It will probably be Cro Cop's last UFC outing too as I expect Shaub to smash him. Would have loved to see Little Nog V Ortiz too but they moved that to a UFC fight night instead. Ortiz is going to get KTFO!

I still would have done the same as you, It's a very good card and you just never know. you'd hate to be over in the states with a chance to see it and no ticket.

they released some more tics for sydney last week including gold seats after they found some more room, and yet i couldn't get gold seats after the first minute of ticket sales when the event first went on sale........wtf!!!

You're kidding me? And I had to get silver off ebay from a dirty poacher?!? Ludicrus! You know what they do don't you? They sell a heap of tickets to Stub Hub, ticket liquidators and other third parties prior to any public sale, who offer the tickets even before the UFC fight club at insane prices, package them up with VIP passes and the like and obviously no one bought them, they still have to sell them; it's all a big scam, they have deals with other ticket sellers, and it's always the little guy who gets screwed!

that scenario sounds much more likely than "they found some extra room for seats".

I've had one of our crew pull out of 127 so i've got 1 ticket in premium for anyone interested at cost ($410). it will go on e-bay late next week.

God damn I wish I could go.

And Rashad is the man, hope his knee gets better and V Rampage 2 is as good or better than the first time.

So did Thiago Silva return positive??

You would want to be putting that on ebay ASAP as there are less than 2 weeks till the event, and there is the possibility it may pass at auction (harder selling single tickets sometimes) and you will have to re-list. Hope your mate will cover it if any problems selling, that's pretty disappointing..

Thiago Silva tested positive but no news if he will be pulled out of Rampage fight. If he does (which he will) Evans to replace. So Rampage V Evans II!

yeah not real happy with him, but he will pay for it if i can't sell it or make up the shortfall if i can't get full price. there were guys screaming out for tics at the weigh-in last year so i think i will be able to offload without too many problems.

Rampage and Evans is definately a go i'm told, and i'm sorry Deestroy but i can't have Evans. He bugs me as much as Kos.

Enjoy it fellas.

I expect a full report, and photos of Arianny.

I'll do my best.

i'm off to hit the hay for a 4am wake up for a flight to sydney, then straight to acer arena for the weight-in and maybe a signature or 2, although i'm not sure Kos and Bader are worth queing up for if it's as long as it was last year. getting pumped.......Sots by sub, Lytle by K.O, Rivera by K.T.F.O, and B.J by K.O. Bring it on!

Finally back after a huge weekend……

Got in on Saturday and went straight to Acer for the weigh-in and Q & A with Ken Florian, huge crowd, bigger than last year. Q&A was good, although Dana was better last year, and the usual question about an event in Melbourne came up and it seems it will happen reasonably soon. The amount of support for this even that comes from Melbourne is unbelievable.

Following day at ufc, we had excellent seats, about 20mtrs from the ring. Although on paper the card wasn’t the greatest I really enjoyed the fights, we got to see a bit of everything. The judges I was not so happy with……

Kyle Noke looked really good in winning his bout and the Mark Hunt K.O was a cracker. The Nick Ring fight was a joke, there was no way he won that fight.

Really liked the Fisher and Pearson fight.

Disappointed for Chris Lytle who fought a dumb fight imo, but very happy for Brian Ebersole, who did some crazy things and deserved to win.

Unfortunately Sots got done and although a case could be mounted that he won the last 2 rounds, it was probably a fair decision. Bisping and Rivera shaped a dirty fight and Bisping didn’t disappoint with a disgraceful Knee to the head while Rivera was down. This was not instinctive…..he had time to think before he acted. I wouldn’t have been surprised if this affected Rivera for the remainder of the fight. Then after the fight Bisping Spits in Rivera’s corner and talks some more smack to Rivera, all class. It seems he’s happy when he dishes out lip, not so happy when it’s the other way around.

Penn & Fitch I had a real problem with……a scrappy fight but a good contest none the less. I.m.o Penn won this fight and not even he thought he won. In the first 2 round the most significant thing to happen was Penn taking down Fitch, Yes Fitch reversed the position both times, but Penn also stood up in his guard both times. For mine Penn won the first 2 rounds, got smashed in the third, but should have won the fight. I haven’t seen the tape, but that’s my view at this point.

Take these opinions with a grain of salt because if my predictions are anything to go by, I don’t know SH*T!

Later that night we hit the town and bumped into Bruce Buffer, Shandella, Pearson, Fisher, Ebersole, Bader, Herb Dean, Siver, Tuchscherer, and a few other fighters on the undercard.

And the biggest Prima donna of them all…… Sots. I know the bloke lost and he was absolutely shattered no doubt, but he didn’t have to be there, he could have stayed in his room and sulked instead of carrying on the way he did. Spencer Fisher got beaten but he was still happy to put a few of my mates in a headlock for pictures. Sots was a princess.

Didn’t spoil a great weekend though, and I can’t wait til next year when we might see one in Melbourne.

Excellent man!

I heard Sots is one of the nicest blokes going round, disappointing to hear that facade is dropped when he loses.

As for the fight, I think he did well to fight back and did his reputation no harm in coming back from those knock downs. This loss will help him, change his path and make him work on take downs.

Siver is a little powerhouse, but will not cut it amongst the truly elite, Sots out boxed him for most of the last 2 rounds. Siver won though in my view.

Bisping is s disgrace, you could see him hesitate for five minutes then throw the knee anyway. Jorge's eyes were glazed over for minutes after, should not have continued. Belfort may murder Bisping. But boy I'd love them to feed Bisping to Anderson...

Ebersole may be the most electrifying sportsman on the planet lol.

That was hilarious, entertaining as hell and a great fight, want to see more of this guy.

Noke just looked insanely good. He might be the one to watch.

In the Tucherer fight, after he got cut he said to the ref "something's hanging in my eye" ref says "it's your eyelid". Good god.

Cool fight, Hunt could ko anything.

I scored the Penn v Fitch fight a draw so I wasn't surprised, Penn first 2, Fitch 10 - 8 third. I thought the judges might give it to Fitch, so I'll take the draw. BJ was one inch away from securing the body triangle, if he did he would've submitted the poor man's GSP. My god Fitch is so boring, his ground and pound is torture to watch. death by 1 million love taps.

WTF was that Nick takes it in the Ring decision??? He must've blew the judges, he clearly lost that 30 - 27, that's just BS.

Couldn't find the Perosh fight anywhere, was it any good?

If they scored the Penn/Fitch fight the way you did, then thats fair enough even though i wouldn't have scored 10-8 in the 3rd, but Fitch could not have won that fight imo. Fitch is not fun to watch, the most exciting thing about that fight was what B.J might do.

We spoke to Siver's trainer that night and he said he had been working for hours on hopping on one leg. he said if it went to the ground Siver had no chance. you might be right about him and the elite fighters, but i could'nt help but think that if he hit Frankie Edgar.......

We Also asked Ebersole about the head gear and the shaved arrow on his chest hair.......he said he asked the Ref if he could wear the head gear in the ring cos Lytle hits soo hard, and he shaved the arrow in his chest cos he wanted him to aim for his head not his nuts. very funny man.

Perosh Fight was pretty short, but he did really well. i was really happy for him after the punishment he copped last year.

I've got a copy of the whole ufc including prelims if you want a copy. let me know.

Thanks mate, the Perosh one is the only fight I haven't seen, so I won't worry about it, thanks for the offer though.

Did you chat to Bruce Buffer?

actually i just checked my copy and Perosh wasn't on it anyway!

didn't chat to Bruce personally, but he actually went out of his way to talk to a mate of mine who was wearing a Bruce Buffer Silver Star top and said "i've gotta get a photo with anyone wearing that top"

All the fighters loved a chat and some were actually hard to shake off if you can believe that. the ufc have them extremely well educated on how to treat the general public.

When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
