Took the kids along this morning to Casey Fields. It is a great facility. Had a chat with a few of the blokes. Cale Morton was running laps (lots of them!). He came over and chatted with my 7 year old daughter who has the number 10 on her jumper and said he thought he'd be right to go in 4 weeks. Aussie was walking laps and said he had hoped to be running today but his hammy was still sore so it looks like he will still be a while. Liam was walking laps and did some bike work with Luke Tapscott. Liam said his shoulder is progressing well and he thinks he could be back 3 or 4 weeks earlier than first diagnosed. Jack Watts was moving quite well - didn't seem impaired in any way so would expectr he'd play at Casey on Saturday.

My first go at a link on this site; I will keep editing it until I get it to work.

Wazza, I cannot get to the game on Sunday, multi bummer. I will go to the Casey game on Saturday night; I hope JW and Blease play.

Good to see Jetta, did he do the entire session?

Yep, trained well - looked sharp during the mid fielders drills with Scott West and Mark Williams. No hint of the groin injury.

Did anyone see Colin's (Garland and Sylvia) and also Blease? Did Watts do a full session?

I was having lunch on Bay St today and walked right past Colin Sylvia. By the time I realised it was him it was too late, but now regret not asking him how his jaw is going. He looked fit and chirpy which was good. This was at around 1pm so I'm guessing training was in the morning?

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
