This kid will come very very close to winning the NAB Rising Star.

As the article alludes to, the reason he is so highly rated is that he brings his teammates into the game and creates play.

I've already seen him do it in the NAB Challenge matches and it'll become more and more commonplace.

I'm delirious.

I have already jinxed Jurrah (betting a mate that he would kick more goals than Gumbleton in 2010) and Sylvia (backing him for the Brownlow at $501) before the season starts. Therefore, for the sake of Scully and fellow Dees supporters I will predict that this kid is over-rated, slow and a bad kick and will break down during the season.

Now that is paranoia... hurts just to type this about the young bloke.

You're not out of the race on either of those bets for mine, Gumbleton could break down trying to get through the banner on Friday night. Provided you had Sylvia EW that is because even without missing one game he can't win a Brownlow this year.

Would you mind making a few predictions about the Hawks today. I think you are onto something. :)

PS Dont write Jurrah off just yet. :)

I think you will still win your bet.

Missed the Essendon game last night so cannot say for sure but Gumbleton only scored 18 supercoach points... giving me a glimmer of hope

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
