2009 Player Review - # 47 James Strauss

Featured Replies

James Strauss – James had an injury-interrupted year. It was disappointing we didn't get as much football as we would've liked into Watts, Blease and Strauss. Unfortunately, James had a back injury and he also had shoulder surgery but he has some great attributes – he is a good kick and is powerful. We rate him really highly and he's a great kid but he just needs to have a very big summer  – Sean Wellman on Melbournefc.com.au

Awaiting his debut with anticipation. Touch wood an injury free season next year so Mfc can get some footy into him. Of what I did see of him in the Casey Seniors was admittedly very little. But what I did see looked promising. In particular the run off half back, one-two handball, followed up, kicks a goal from outside 50m at pace, at Williamstown on a windy day.

Both he and Blease seem to be the forgotten recruits in a way. Let us hope they both wet our appetite in 2010.
