2009 Player Review - # 46 Sam Blease

Featured Replies

Sam Blease – Sam unfortunately broke his leg, so we didn't get to see him this year. He is still at school – he was 17 when he was drafted – so he's going through his rehabilitation at the moment. He has got a really important pre-season coming up. We really want to get his injury right and then get him playing lots of football against men – that's the way to fast-track his development – Sean Wellman on Melbournefc.com.au

Great pity that Sam broke his leg, but I guess if it was going to happen, this was the best year for it. Really looking forward to seeing his speed, long kicking and line-breaking skills in the Demon midfield.

Is anyone mates with him or does anyone know how he is progressing? Will he be able to get a big chunk of pre season in? I have massive hope in this kid. Watched his draft tapes not long ago gee hes exciting. I would love it if he played the first half of the year with Casey then held his spot in the second half of the year. get about 10 - 12 games in.

I heard a rumour that he has got fat and was seen eating a chip last Wednesday.

But seriously I hope his leg comes good and he can play some good footy for us.
