Jamar and Rivers gone

If I wanted to it wouldn't be hard to figure out what pool of IP addressess he is going to get his IP from and ban the lot from being used in registration for a few weeks. It wouldn't stop anyone already registered from posting, and it would keep out very few, if anyone else from registering other than this tool.

Personally though, I'm not that interested in chasing this goose around so he's going to be wasting his time 'refreshing his IP'. I'm looking forward to the next installment! :)

Cheers Nasher

always interested in hearing the techo things from you (football too of course)

Belzbub or Rhino for sure? ;)

Close to a 100 posts and 3500 views, gota love that work.

nope <_<

for starters...if I was that way inclined Id mask my IP..

also, simply not my style.

no sorry...move along to some other

[*]If you are posting from work you are probably NATed and it would be your works IP that would have been logged, they may or may not have a static so \"refreshing\" ipconfig /release & renew (windows), if you\'re running Linux then you\'re no doubt way ahead of this anyway, won\'t really help as the external IP will remain the same. Your internal private IP will probably not change either cos you\'ll probably pick up the same IP lease anyway (and it\'s not hard for the admins on a remote web site to grab your private IP anyway as it\'s in the packets you send, otherwise how would the data replies make it back to you if you are one of may PCs on a LAN)

Not many people are working with internet on a Saturday avo/night. If he was at work I imagine this would have occurred to him.

[*]If you are dialup/ADSL then you may pick up the same IP again after a disconnect and reconnect, but at the least you will get an IP from the same block that the ISP uses and with extra Demonland work some evidence could be gathered, they will be able to see from what ISP you were connected from a relevant lookup, maybe not enough for the Demonland admins to determine unequivocally your ID but it may be enough for a good start. I know one ISP that has different blocks for different states. Also if your were doing bad stuff the ISP logs would give you away but law enforcement needs to get involved on that one and there\'s no law yet against posting funny stuff, yet

It\'d probably be fairly easy to narrow it down, yes.

[*]Finally, why would you want to change your IP unless you were going to log back in as another user? That is the interesting part, with many possibilities from you weren\'t going to right through to who were you going to log on as

Anyway

The OP said he was a frequent poster on here.

It\'s clear he created a new account - and refreshed his IP - so this alias wasn\'t linked to his \'regular\' account.

I can confirm that it will be announced on the MFC website tonight at around 6pm.

This made it pretty obvious it was a troll.

First, why would we put news up on a Sat night?

Second, it was bait to keep people in the thread for another couple of hours.

Don't know much about this IP crap but you sound on the money.

As for your last part well hindsight is always great isn't it.

The absolute best ending to this thread would be if the proposed actually went ahead ;)

Justin is the older one.....

The skinny lookin' geezer who never seems to shave properly.....

Got to say I Like Love the avatar KrazyJay........nothing else to say on this thread. :)

I will only say this once.

Jamar and Rivers are off to Port Adelaide.

In return pick 8 and Justin Westhoff, you can expect an annoucement as soon as tonight or tomorrow morning. This is locked.

I hear Everitt is coming to Melbourne for pick 18 which looks certain to happen but I can't comfirm this one.

Would be a crap deal

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
