Jurrah is going to be a brownlow winning midfielder, who rests forward and kick's 5 goals.

Memo to the Melbourne Football Club.

Seldom in my lifetime have I been really quite so excited about what the coming year will ( not might ) bring.

You havent had much of a go at advertising ...but this..THIS ( well after the draft and going into Christmas and early next year )is the time.

Have a word to the two major sponsors..or a new third ;) Get some footage of Liam Jurrah turning it on..both in Melbourne colours and his Yuendumu days..or maybe Darwin.. ( think he wasnt wearing balck and white then ?) .

To the strains of "Come on baby light my fire " Start with moody images of Liam back in his home.. around a campfire.. .. Boys talking their game up... twisiting flicking a footy. Glints in eyes.. a didgerydoo lamenting the "light my fire".. fade to Liam taking specky..after specky.. in say Darwin..( or where footage available... the crowds excitement growing .... the "light my fire " refrain becoming more to the fore...... scene moves to the MCG..with Liam turning it on.. Crowds exstatic.. .."COME ON LIGHT MY FIRE !! ""

the only words spoken .. "Melbourne ....... the fire's lit, join us in 2010' fade to the Demon image coming forth from burning goals.

Liam certainly has put a fire into this team in ways unfathomable :)

we are on the verge of football orgasm !!

I'm with you BB, The Warlpiri Warrior's footy is "forgasmic"

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
