Wait One Second - Bombers Smash Blues

Ratten is too soft. SOmething should have been done with fevola by now and he's costing them. No second efforts, only tries about every 4th contest and doesn't follow his man down the ground.

Very costly, very funny!!!

any takers that he ( Fev) is on a no drop `contract ?

That's it though - Carlton have some superstars but desperately lack depth.

I think it comes down to them still reeling from having those draft picks taken off them.

And i couldn't be happier for it. :P

Agree.

Take the gloss off the top 6 and there are questions...big questions.

Stevens, Houlihan and Simpson like it easy and on their terms and look great when things are fine but when the pressure is on.

Carlton have a real problem with Fev. How can you have a flag tilt with culture bogan who has the Grand Canyon b/w his best and worst?

Further still they must be paying Judd a packet. Its rumoured Pratt loved Fev and as a consequence his existing contract is very very high. Add Warnock to that and the need to pay Murphy, Gibbs and Kruezer higher money as they mature and pressure builds. There are some issues there for Carlton.

They came into this year with big expectations of playing finals and possible top 4. They have gone missing a number of times on the road and last night they melted embarrassingly in a game they should have had everything going for them.

MFC have issues but FFS, Carlton have some real soul searching and the need to cut some front runners and culture sores.

Don't forget that they are able to funnel player payments through Visy to bypass the salary cap though. The AFL has already endorsed this method, so there's no fear of a repeat breach.

On a slightly separate topic, Essendon have their third Friday night match in a row next week.

Talk about an uneven competition!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ... how bad do we look now. Essendon might just be better than many people think!!!

Maybe last weeks loss is not as bad as it looks.

and it was beautiful to watch, Judd looked disinterested and injured, he might be a millionaire now but money doesn't bring happiness hahahahahah..................although if l win $90 on Tuesday l'm sure l'll be happier than what l am now, so will the Demons because they'll get some of it

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
