I was watching AFL teams on Fox Sports yesterday evening and it was great to see the panel giving melbourne the credit they deserve. Shaw(filth) and Parkin especially said we move the ball out of the middle and through the corridor as good as anyone in the comp, but skill errors let us down on occasions. Also they talked of the importance of Davey and how he is without a doubt all australian already. Cale Morton got a massive wrap too. Even though nobody tipped us, fair enough, i loved Parkins little comment at the end "Hawthorn better be on their game because Melbourne are coming, Mark my words" GO DEES

Conversely I have no idea who the clowns on 693AW are at about 8.30 last night . . .

Spoke about how poor our backline was, how we have no-one to contain Rough and Franklin and how we've been in atrocious form, whilst praising how great Hawthorn have been.

They sounded like they were on an NRL show.

I think the majority of the media is beginning to talk us up now. Last year it was basically 100% negative, but now, I think we're starting to claw some respect back.

3aw have no idea. our backline has probably been our biggest strength. Read this morning that we have the more inside 50s conceded than any other side over teh last 3 weeks, yet we have been more than competitive (43 point loss to geel, less than ten point losses to WB and WCE). The backline is doing an awesome job. was it that [censored] gerard healy? or dwayne?

Yeah it was good to hear some positive talk amongst the panel. Seems the football world is wising up to the potential of our young squad. Hope we can put in another good performance on the weekend and keep the media pumping us up.

And BT loves Cale Morton.

Great to hear this year as been so much more positive than last years. The team is certainly going somewhere and some people are starting to realise that. I love Cale Morton as well. Great footy smarts. We have some good recruits. Morton,Grimes,Garland,Warnock,Frawley,Maric,Martin,Jetta,Bennell and we are yet to see Watts,Blease and Struass.
