You've failed to mention the likes of Franklin/Roughead, Lloyd/Lucas and Brown/Bradshaw etc, etc which were also in my post, to suit your own argument.

Premiership winners in recent years with 2 gun power forwards are the Lions & Hawks

I totally agree that the Hawks, Bombers & Lions forward structures contain 2 power forwards, I've never said otherwise. What are you saying, only 3 of your 7 examples stand up? Thats my point

If Ottens is not a KPP/Ruck, I'll go he. I'm not pretending nor hiding anything.

You never said he was a KPP / Ruck, you said he was a power forward? Ottens is a ruckman. He goes forward occassionally like lots of other ruckman do, that doesn't make him a power forward, it makes him a ruckman that can go forward.

the answer is simple with pick 1 take scully and pick 2 the best power forward,

How about Scully and the best young ruckman. If there's a dominant ruckman in the state carnival or TAC cup they may be worth looking at. The ruck is another area we look very thin in also.

i think we should trade for a ruckmen. When one that we want comes available

How about we don't let stupidity reign when it comes to recruitment..?

See post #17 of this thread. Its that simple.

Certainly not. Look, if you don't rate the others as 'power forwards' or they're 'go to men' up forward at their respective clubs, that is fine. We can agree to disagree. If you placed yourself within their inner sanctums I think you might get a clearer picture that the players I mentioned are the ones nominated within their own clubs as their own 'power forwards.' You might not see them as "power" but these guys are the ones that are looked upon as the ones to stand up down forward. Whether it is Brown or Bradshaw at Brisbane or Petrie and Hale at North.

When he pushes up forward, IMO he will be viewed upon by the opposition as a Power Forward (KPP), yes, even though he may start in the Ruck. He spends a fair bit of time up forward when Blake is Rucking. So yes you are right, he is a ruckman that can go forward and give them drive - a big power forward with presence. Not that they need it most of the time because of they're midfield.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
