Inside 60 on Before the Game

Some of the Q & A's

Did he shave his head to avoid inspection for nits?

Should Jim Stynes be drug tested for saying we could be the biggest sporting club in the world?

Will the Dees celebrate Mad Monday if they win a game? Might not happen!

Do players pick lots to drive Jack Watts to training? No he's just got a driver's licence.

Does the MFC really have a Russian sponsor? No it's the KGB.

Is Ron Barassi the tackling coach? No, he's the boxing coach.

Does Michael Newton brag about his parents Bert & Patty?

Not particularly amusing but what the heck, we get some publicity at least!

Good to have some Publicity. Do we still use the Junction Oval? Is it for gym sessions. What do we still use Junction for?

The interview was at Junction oval

at least we got a mention

tongue in cheek answers but pretty honest too, Jim saying we could be the biggest club in the world is laughable and the fact we might struggle to win a game this year could be spot on

Of course its as honest as they come..any publicity is good publicity at the moment whilst we are cellar dwellars and when the tables eventually turn we can be the ones that say .....we are coming.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
