anyone know what direction the club is taking on this ?

yes, it will be changed back to a demon in a couple of years

apparantly cameron schwab has been heard saying that we are unable to change the official logo this year as it must be used for two years

my suggestion for the new logo is my avatar

im no graphic designer but for some reason i like the look of fire flames in the logo..obviously like the demon is in hell

Nugget, have you sent this to the club at all? Good paint job.

He's just slightly altered the Demon Heartland logo - i'd be surprised if they haven't already had a look at this.

But he has done a good job. They may not have thought about piecing it together like that.

My design that is was trying to do in time for the Demon Summit is coming along, not far from being done.

Any other guys out there with a bit of nous in the field of graphic design, I'm issuing a challenge - have a crack, see what you can come up with.

I'll be submitting mine to the club & probably post it on here. I'd like to see what other people can/will come up with.

Its always good to collaborate & share ideas on these sorts of things.

Good stuff. We look forward to seeing your design. Will you be expecting any royalties from the club if they choose your design? ;)

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
