Where's my brick

The last time MFC was in the s..t around about five/six years ago the club sold off family bricks as a way of raising money. The bricks were to be placed on a wall in the change room for all to see.

Two points here, I believe the bricks are on a board too big to be removed from the old Southern stand change room which is now no longer used. Secondly, even if they had been removed and placed in the new change rooms in the Northern stand, they would be of no use to the people who donated as those very same people are not invited into the change rooms anyway.

If this club is going to survive it must learn to treat members in a more inclusive manner. Being allowed into the change rooms, if only on a strickly limited basis would be one way of the club being more inclusive. When I was a kid entry into the change rooms was a valuable way of encouraging supporters to feel a part of the clubs fabric.

I will not be paying out more money to be wasted by the club than I have to, I already buy five memberships a year two of which are Trident memberships.

Bugger debit demolition month, I want to see those bricks before they get any more money out of me.family bricks

They are still in the southern stand i see them most weekends.

handy for you then!

have you called the club and asked where you can see them?

have you called and told them of how you feel about this and ask them if you and your family can get in there for a look?

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

ï»żA hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
