Brisbane, Collingwood, Essendon, Geelong, GWS, Richmond and until recently Port, Sydney and the Eagles all traded in their #1 KPF.

We have been notoriously lax at the trade table since May and Lever, including the failed attempt to bring in Adam Cerra.

    We traded in BBB.

Well to switch play effectively you need a couple of things

First is players who have good field kicking - we are terribly light on in this area

Second is players who are prepared to work hard to run to space even if they aren’t used - I lost count in the game against the Swans the number of times we had possession in the D50 only for our guys to look upfield and see zero movement - it really was quite amazing

I saw GWS last night and they work extremely hard to spread and create options and their skills in terms of kicking and handball to advantage seem way better than ours at least at this stage

First of all don’t need to be an elite kick to kick the ball to the fat side of the ground. Elite kicking is an advantage when going through traffic and / or the corridor.

Secondly we have players like Langdon and Nibbler.

I really Believe Goodwin has run his race

1 Hasn't addressed our forward entry issues

    2 Got rid of Grundy

3 Have not solved our Glaring need for a Big aggressive forward

4 Has no plan B much less C

5 Is a average to poor matchday coach

6 Plays favourites even when underdone or seriously out of form

We FLUKED a premiership by any definition and since then have stagnated

I think that about covers it

Finished 1st end of home and away season and beat the Lions before destroying the Cats and Dogs in the next 2 finals. Geelong went on to win it the following year. 2021 was no fluke.

If we were able to lure a forward of JUH’s ilk it would be like bringing in a new #1 key defender at the same time , Petty could go back and we’d be solving two big issues at once

If we’re serious about Petty staying we need to offer him a new contract this year which would override his current one which runs into next season.

  5. 12 % increase in the cap next season.

Brayshaw retired, BBB & TMac most likely to retire, Schache and Smith out of contract, Melksham could potentially go around again. The big one is what are Petty’s plans? I think JUH will explode this year, I can see clubs (Sydney) offering him a long term deal at 1.2 million per season. Even if Petty stays I’d still be throwing massive coin at JUH.

Seats were fine. Lack of noise from a lot of the Dees group and war we were watching was worse than the view.

Great job to the cheer squad though!-thanks for fronting up every game!

    Contradictory?

If you liked the seats I’m happy for you, I’ll never sit there again. I sat behind the goals up high  on the opposite end and had a great view.

Was it just me or was there a race / tunnel right in front of the  goals at the Park Rd end?

  7. Just walked into Brisbane airport wearing my Demons retro t shirt (for the record our best emblem, not this upside down acorn) & the first person I see is a bloke wearing a Swans polo, he looked at me then looked away. He knows….Olivers back baby and the Swans will taste defeat come Thursday night.

I hope all the supporters get around Clarry. Our most important player, club champion multiple times, has been through public hell and deserves a lot of love from the Dees faithful.

And get around him we will.
