Tassie Devils Possible Extinction
North, Saints a close second but North. Nobody wants to lose their team but the game will be worse off after expansion. North are struggling now, how will they fair after Tassie comes in and probably takes McKercher (possibly wrong spelling) in the process?

Tassie Devils Possible Extinction
I’m happy for Tassie to have a team as it rounds out the competition nicely but it MUST come at the expense of a Victorian based team. Yes we can argue that the Giants and Suns came in too quickly but there here now and here to stay. How anyone thinks this competition can sustain any more teams is beyond me. The AFLW was doomed as soon as the went to 18 teams after only a couple of years. There’s a lot wrong with our game at the moment and the clubs and those in the media seemingly sit there and just smile and wave as if everything is ok.

Tassie Devils Possible Extinction
To be fair restaurants, bars and hotels would benifit from a stadium as well as tourism as a whole so I don’t think it’s unfair that some of it is paid for by the taxpayer.

Farewell Judd McVee
And a boring thread at that, largely a couple of posters arguing amongst themselves.

Tassie Devils Possible Extinction
Can the powers that be now take a moment to realise that this competition can’t sustain any more teams.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
The good old days of being a Melbourne supporter when the upcoming trade week provides more excitement than the season did. I remember how excited I was listing to the radio when when we drafted Petracca and Brayshaw at 2 & 3.

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
Please be at CHB.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Players have too much power, this should be included in all new contracts for players moving fwd.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
He’ll be another year older, I think it’s now of never. As for a stronger draft, there’s Logan Morris is every draft, we just to find him.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
Risk worth taking, only 2 years giving others time to come on.

State of Origin is Back
Again I have concerns about the direction of our game, a return of State of Origin being the least of them. Will be interesting to see how many players put their hand up to play.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
No idea I just read King’s thoughts via the link. I guess we’ll never know though it would be interesting to hear other potential coaches scenarios in terms of what a trade may look like.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Part of the interview process involved coaches listing their ‘best 25’ Demons players and King firmly put Petracca and Oliver in there.

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
who’s list is? I keeping asking the same question, who are all of Geelong’s and Hawthorn’s big name players, even Collingwood to a lesser extent. These teams have great systems in place, their players are all on the same page and execute their gameplan perfectly. Yes we have some skill issues and lack a big target up fwd but I disagree that we’re years away from being competitive again, things can change quickly. King was asked where he thought our list was at, I think a lot of our issues this season were driven by frustration.

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
I disagree, I’ve also disagreed with the notion over the years that it takes twelve moths or longer to learn a new game plan. End of the day there’s only so many ways to play the game & we still have a more than capable list. We are not Richmond who traded out the majority of senior players for picks, we’ll not anyway.

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
Nice of the club to announce our new coach the day I fly back into the country. King’s appointment has instilled some excitement back into me that had been lost over the last season or two. Losing is one thing but the way we were losing was starting to cook me. This year was the first in 18 since I moved to Sydney that I didn’t sit down as soon as the draw came out and actively book flights for multiple games. This was due to the fact we already had a long o/s trip planned but also wanted to see how we started the season, after going 0 & 5 we didn’t bother. I’m now eagerly awaiting next years draw so I can lock some flights in. I’m interested to see what happens now with regards to player movement, assistant coaches & how we play next year. Something I asked a few weeks back was who are all of Geelong’s star players, I would add to that who are all of the Hawks big name players on massive contracts that have gotten them through to a preliminary final. We still have the makings of a decent list with an obvious hole in the fwd line, would to hear King’s first conversation with Petty.

If we were in the finals race would we have sacked Goodwin?
