I agree WYL, there was/is a sense of realness listening to Dean speak, as with Ling'y and Darcy. McVeigh reeks of coaching.
I want to hear more about the pigs brain to increase infield awareness.

Is Mark Mcviegh still on the payroll from Essendon?
Must be, how coached are his answers?? He is better of shutting his mouth because he is doing Hird no favours.

Never been one for the priority pick but should the unthinkable happen and we somehow get pick 1 plus 3 wouldn't that change things nicely.
-
I actually liked that, a loose cannon maybe but a bloody good coach. We don't need him to be a frontman we need a proven premiership coach. Can't remember exactly but read/watched something last year about GWS, all the players said they got a lot out of him.I was at the MCG the day Choco gagged himself with his tie.
That image doesn't go away.
Choco is a loose cannon. An excellent assistant coach.
I'm not against Roo's coaching but don't like the idea that if he wants the job it's his no questions asked but Choco has to jump through hoops.

Does anyone remember over anylising every word Scully said?

Why don't you think Choco could? But Roo's could "if he had the right people around him" .If Roos was disinterested he could have said simply "Do not ask me again. I am not interested in the MFC job at all" to our CEO's face on National TV. It is Roosey's own show ffs!!
BUT he chose to say nothing & listen...As GNF said last night Roos is still well in our sights, it depends who PJ can lure to the club in other positions.
Do people really believe Choco Williams can change the ENTIRE CULTURE of our club on & off the field???
I don't, but Paul Roos could if he has strong support around him
I've of the opinion Roo's would be a great motivator and help create a culture but has limited tactical nous. With our supposed forward line next year we need quick direct entry. Yes I'm aware of our midfield problems. Look what Horse has done with the Swans since Roo's departed. The gameplan has changed, yes the culture has stayed but as I have said before the players must accept some responsibility.
-
The list shortens.Neil Craig won't be our next coach after last week and this week.
Bad selections, bad moves, bad game plan.
Effort is unquestioned. Everything else under him is still miles from being acceptable.
-
Give us pick 1 and 3 and we will auction off pick 1. Stuff GWS.No!!!!!
We need 5 PP's. of course we won't get them but I would start a media campaign now for as much as we can get in an ambit claim.
It would be impossible to mount an argument against draft assistance for us. Currently we are an embarrassment.
-
For me he is a close second to Roos, they have similar sorts of records, but Roos had a hand in the great culture at the swans and that is exactly what we want/need, having said that if it were announced tomorrow we were going to be coached by any of the big four, Roos, choco, eade or craig i would not be at all unhappy with any of the above and i am very confident we will get one of them.
I appreciate the culture aspect but the players have to accept some responsibility as well. Roos did a great job installing values into his team, but then the players took it and ran with it. If Roos was suddenly interested I think he should have to sit before the coaching panel and explain other things such as game plan. Next year we have the makings of a bloody good forward line. Yes our midfield is a weakness but we need to get the ball in there quickly not hug the bloody boundary line.
-
If he is fit he plays. He was drafted for a reason. Give him games and time, this year is shot. Call it on job training.

Since the announcement of the coaching panel has there been anything else said besides the game of upstairs/downstairs with Roo's?

Terlich out, Tapscott in. Kent sub.
Injured/rested?

Why is Choco second best?personally i think its all been a stunt to shift the spotlight,
its always been all about Roos for us, no more settling for second best
-
Agree BB, I think their stance of rather than come clean, to just respond to any findings reeks of yes we've been busted but you guys only know the half of it. Coming clean early could be putting themselves in it.I think a lot of the subterfuge currently being uncovered goes to the idea the AFL and Essendon dont /cant want the majority of Essendon players wiped for even 6 months.
its called PANIC !!! lol

Footy show says we are going to have one last crack at Roos and the AFL are unhappy with Choco's last days at GWS and it could harm his chances at the coaching gig.
Heard Barrett speak but it was drivel as usual. Most jobs you give notice then stay 2/4/6 weeks. We all know footy is different, when a coach is sacked he packs his desk straight away. Choco was grubbed by Sheedy, he stayed until the end of the last game the left. What were his options?

That's a very good question.
I'm living in Sydney and as far as the Cronulla Sharks were told, come clean now and cop 6 months or wait to be found and cop 2 years. I can only assume this was the same for the AFL players. Jobe's confession should be seen as too little too late.

Agree with everything bar Hird v Fat Controller. I only say that because I think they both have something to hide. I haven't gone back through all the posts but ok, so AD didn't tip of the bombers( their come clean press conference very convenient) but did he try to cut a deal with ADADA on behalf of them? The way I see it Sue is its AD and Evans version against Hird and Robson, Hird passes the buck at every opportunity and he is the head coach, if he jabbed my boy 40 to 50 times with peptides I would break his jaw, I can't see how anyone would take James word over AD, that's just my opinion sue.
I wonder what the parents of players are thinking now? Surely it will all be alright because Hird told them so after calling them all to the club.

' get around him' used a lot by James Brayshaw after a player kicks a goal his teammates run in to congratulate him, rub the head & pat the backside. In this case kicking the goal is replaced by the signing of a contract. Players and fans alike should get around him at ES this Saturday and let him know how much we appreciate him.

Put AOD to the side, they are reportedly being investigated for upto four other products/substances. Say goodnight.

Baring injury or rest I can't see Jordie getting back in the side this year.

Caro Wilson has had the balls to come out and name some her sources. As Denham said this morning :I think you might find that Wilson is on the money here. Hird has a lot to answer for.
- it's suits essendon when they are bound by confidentiality and when they are not
- produce the document where you were told it was ok
At the start of the year essendon threatened to sue anyone printing story's about the issue, these threats have now become [censored] weak ' media releases'
As much as people here have a dislike for Caro she stands to be hung out to dry if she is wrong, same for her paper.
If essendon have/had the ok ( very doubtful) but were also aware that WADA says its not ok, wouldn't you check? Rather than proceed full steam ahead.
Can't wait for the arrogance to fall, starting with the coach.

No doubt, I can think for myself too. But when I asked the question why do so many believe Roos is so far ahead of Choco , part of someone's response was 'his friends are happy to get rid of him' so along with some relevant facts I threw that in. Is it of any relevance ....no, that's why I put it in , to show exactly that.My Collingwood mates rated Neeld.
We can do without what our mates think.
What is Roos role with basketball Australia , motivator or tactician?

The list is now three ?? How is that, I thought a prerequisite was having already one a flag. The list is then one.
