  1. Max, Oliver and Trac combo. Bernie steamrolling that puddy tat and putting him on his ass. OMac’s rapid improvement.
  2. I believe Vince came into the game with the split webbing. The stitches tore off early in the game and he went down the race for repairs. He’s a tough cookie our Bernie, loved his second half.
  3. One behind that is. The kid was really impressive today, never let Hawkins out of his sight even when they were basically walking through our goals in the second quarter. Sitting behind the Punt Rd goals it was impressive to see OMac trying to settle our other defenders down and barking instructions at them during that crappy 2nd quarter lapse.
  4. I couldn’t see from the other end if Vince got him high, it was marvellous regardless.
  5. Suspended? Are you talking about the incident when Vince had the ball and steamrolled the Cats player in our defensive 50 in the 3rd?
  6. Vince showed Lewis a thing or two about leadership in the second half.
  7. Yeah, was it when they were 30 points down and 10 minutes to go?
  8. You know what, %#%# that! Various training attendees post reports to inform members on this site about training methods/standouts and they never make out that it’s about themselves. You do!!!! Many appreciate your training reports but for crying out loud stop making out that you’re the only one privy to information. Your antics are tiring. I quoted you a month ago about Wagner’s progress and you had no decency to reply. We are a resilient bunch and the discussion about round 1 selection has been fantastic. We won’t support the boys any less regardless of which 22 run out there!!!!
  9. I should have posted it last night RF, apologies, from memory it was on Fox footy prior to the Druggies game last night.
  10. If you read my posts on this thread you would realise I don’t believe Brayshaw and Tyson are injured. This is some kind of statement by Goodwin IMO. I brought up Roos’ comments in case members weren’t aware.
  11. It was interesting to hear the comments from Roos about selection this weekend. On Tyson and Brayshaw, “ they have to be carrying injuries otherwise there’s no way they shouldn’t be playing”. This is from a man that helped the club get better along with PJ.
  12. Forget fears for 2018, fear for tomorrow is four players having a case of Delhi belly tonight and having to replace them with some “ underdone” players.
  13. Shame about Santos, just like Ace High he was stuck 3 wide the trip. You need to be exceptional to win under those circumstances in the wet. I almost got the first 4, the only piece missing was the winner. Well done to the winner!!
  14. Bugger, Alward chased valiantly but found one better.
  15. So JJ gives two tips for the race and runs the quinella....legend!!!
  16. It doesn’t matter which player takes the task on Hawkins if we allow teams to rebound easily and score out the back. We don’t want to see a Jetta or Vince type left 1 out with opposition talls like we did last year. If you listened to the Demonland podcast a few weeks ago when @Drunkn167 was a special guest, he stated that OMac possesses a lot of body strength, might have even stated he’s one of the strongest that Dec has competed against at training.
  17. As stated above, tough day coming up. Best Bet: Rosehill Race 3 No. 6 Alward. $3.80 Each Way Best: Rosehill R8 No.5 English. Good luck to Santos today, not often do you find a close mate having a runner in the Slipper. Happy punting fellow Demonlanders!
  18. Goodwin stated he will field the fittest 22 and judging by all the training reports over the summer Bugg was labelled as the fittest player, yet he misses out. That’s probably more a case of being down the pecking order behind, Fritch, Hannan, ANB and Melksham. In regards to Brayshaw, is it as simple as his mouth/teeth issue the reason for naming him as an emergency? Why not name him and if it’s still a problem on Sunday just withdraw him. Is Tyson really underdone? He’s had a full summer until the calf niggle, missed a couple of weeks and has played well in two consecutive weeks since. Lewis has played one quarter of football in the pre season. Maynard before Tyson is perplexing.
  19. I tuned in to watch the William Reid only out of interest. Good price for Hellbent Macca, sooner or later it was going to produce its customary finishing burst and beat them home. I was surprised with the F4 dividend. Catchy ran a great race, it looked like the horse was going backwards prior to the final turn. I just finished a phone conversation with my mate, he’s so pumped about tomorrow he won’t be able to sleep. Barrier 7 for Gai’s 7th Slipper??? I hope it salutes for the sole fact of seeing him on the TV carrying on like a looney. He thinks Sunlight and Written By are special horses and they hope Santos jumps well and settles into the first few or so.
  20. Sunday can’t come quick enough!
  21. There’s nothing like a bit of Weid late at night and first thing in the morning, could be a simple case of still being a bit green.
  22. Yeah body blow Wadda, just so we don’t derail the thread the bolded above was a very good horse.
