Our wings have been ineffectual for a few weeks now, we need to change the formula up a bit.

May was the true definition of being worried out of it then. We are a team that gets caught holding the ball a lot (see the Richmond game) and I can’t help but think we have lost all confidence to dispose of the ball when under pressure and tackled.

This is why I bang on about clearances. We need clearances, we need first use of the ball because we need to be playing in front because as soon as the game becomes a scrap we are no good.

Being a turnover team and winning clearances don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Out clearances are poor, we are often flat-footed around stoppages which is why a player like Noah Anderson who is quick off the mark destroyed us last week. We literally won the 2021 Grand Final because we fixed our clearances in the third quarter, it’s extremely important.

Ben Brown needs to come back in, forward line structure isn’t as good as it could be right now.

Hibberd is a top-five most important player for us, needs to be protected at all costs.
