  1. I hope for his sake he isn’t fit because if Weideman isn’t marking the ball then he’s not offering anything. Some of his defensive efforts have been woeful this year.
  2. Weideman’s work ethic around the ground and once the ball hits the ground is as bad as I’ve ever seen from a big man.
  3. It's not about Gawn being physically beat up, it's about having to keep up with two genuine opponents. Also, when our second ruck options like Weideman go into the ruck we struggle.
  4. Our handling of Preuss is puzzling. We played him with Gawn (in the role he was brought in to play) against Collingwood in the practice match and from all reports they worked well together and he was a good forward option. We then played him on his own in JLT1 in a role he is not suited for (sole ruckman) and he was unsurprisingly exposed. We then dropped him for JLT2 and went back to Gawn as the sole ruckman while Preuss was injured paying for Casey. Gawn hasn't been at his best so far and was worked over by two rucks in round 1. He did better against Geelong but having another big option forward to captialisse on all our forward entries wouldn't have hurt. Essendon are going with two ruckmen tonight in a bid to work Gawn over. We cannot afford to run Gawn into the ground any longer and Preuss should be playing in the role that we brought him in to play.
  5. 1.38 in this video: https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2019-03-12/injury-update-march-12
  6. He just got outrun by Harry Taylor.
  7. A second rounder in return would be nice.
  8. I worry about both Viney's and T. McDonald's foot injuries in the long-term.
  9. Hunt and Frost rarely break free because they don't have a sidestep despite their perceived pace. The opposition know which way they are going, only forwards.
  10. Who are you trading to get him?
  11. Joel Smith is a big blow.
  12. No, he runs under the ball.
  13. He just needs to hold his marks and not run under the ball so much.
  14. Preuss is injured so we have Gawn and Bradke who the club have asked to play in the under 18 competition this year.
  15. I love that we are giving the Casey guys a chance but another ruckman would have been nice.
  16. Imagine if we got Curnow and Oliver in this draft, that would have been the all-time greatest drafting coup.
  17. His greatness is obvious for all to see but what I really love is his ability to just stop, prop, turn and then go. He creates so much time and space by doing this. Frost and Hunt are quick, but often kick under pressure because they just start running and then think about where they are running later. Also, his hand passing is the best I've ever seen.
  18. Thanks, I think I’ll upgrade to an Apple TV.
  19. Dumb question coming up. I just bought a Chromecast Ultra and naively thought I could download a Kayo app on to the device and not just stream it from my phone through Chromecast. I’m thinking of now getting an Apple TV instead where there is an actual Kayo app. Is there any way to watch through Chromecast through an app and not just stream from my phone?
  20. He stopped leading to the ball carrier and always wanted the ball sat on his head.
  21. I just hope he takes it with both hands.
  22. I think my Apple TV is too old to download apps, I need to look into it.
  23. Normal Foxtel is dying anyway, this will save them.
  24. It's full resolution, basically all of Foxtel sports in a Netflix situation.
