Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12
Satyriconhome replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
So your answer is to constantly turn over the list and team until we have players that have those attributes We have good ball users, it is upto them to learn to use those skills under pressure On Friday we played in a game that had finals like pressure, we had 3 players who have experimced that before We failed in our execution into the 50, but we were getting it in there As Goodwin said he prefers the problem of bombing it in against not getting it in there -
Didn't you watch the game? Assume it was to chop out in the ruck and be the 3rd tall forward, adding pressure and tackling in the forward 50, again my opinion, hard to take for your little group, stress the word little
-
I'm getting worse, Goodwin at his presser said he was impressed with the clearance/stoppage etc work, as Tyson was part of this group I assumed, how terrible of me, that Tyson had played his role, it is my opinion Mr Righteous, which I am allowed to have As your little schoolyard group is busy orgasming over the thought of Mr Accumulator Gaff joining the club, I can forgive your lack of comprehension or your inability to accept my opinion, of course it is not as infallible as those espoused by your little group
-
I don't know what his role was, do you, if Goodwin was satisfied with the team and the intent, surely that means he played his role, if he didn't then he won't get a game next week What was his role then? You are doing it again, misquoting, you do know that all posts, apart from those that are deleted by mods are kept in perpetuity, I didn't lie in the Gaff thread, others attributed that to me

I see all the bullies of the playground are backing you up, you are just making yourself look silly, care to debate my opinion, love a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent

Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12

Didn't actually say that, it was an assumption as I read it, Pedo has played in defence before, so they know what he brings, watched him quite a few times over the last few years -
Dazzle my ageist precious, knew you were there somewhere, could sense the heavy breathing Depending on which bounce or ball up situation arose Tyson may be a blocker, the receiver of the tap from Gawn, the outside receiver etc, meant to be the conduit between the backs and the forward, kick a goal or two if possible, tackle anything in an opposition shirt, rotate through the wing and half forward if required and look good on camera for the post game interview Goodwin said so, only disappointed with the inside 50 entries, said the behaviours of the whole team were exemplary
-
Yes you are, but yet another outstanding well thought out contribution to the topic
-
Disingenuous ring a bell here, you are supposedly one of the self appointed experts on here so you should be able to dissect what role Tyson had, as he was involved in the midfield assume he was given a midfield role. Considering that Goodwin was impressed with the whole team performance on contested ball etc and only had an issue with the team bombing it in, for which all players were guilty, assume Tyson did his role
-
Salem, Fritsch, Jetta, Omac, Hogan or as per the norm, you just going on the last game, a loss, so a whine A fast edit, Brayshaw is a good kick as well

Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12

We were put under a bit of pressure and bombed away, Goodwin will reset, we got smashed in the clearances for two weeks and fixed that, not sure which bit some don't get that we are still a work in progress and constant tinkering is called for -
Unless your name is Goodwin, would love to see you tell him he is rested You have taken out a high half forward and a half back and replaced with two tall defenders and a wingman?
-
Er...well let's think, the role he was given by Goodwin I am astonished by some of the bollocks posted in this thread It was a great contested game, we gave as good as we got if not better We lost in my opinion and in no particular order because 1. injuries at critical times 2. A couple of dubious umpiring decisions 3. Not lowering our eyes going into the fifty 4. Maybe not having an extra tall in defence Goodwin was pleased with the effort, we need to replicate it and get back to lowering our eyes when kicking into the 50 like I see at training every week, we have experienced pressure, learn from it
-
You new here? This is Demonland, try the Game Day thread for really interesting reading Your guilty parties for the kicking inside 50 was missing a few names

He did nothing with them, no impact whatsoever, an accumulator, he is the latest messiah on here, get him in all will change -

Gaff has wilted under pressure the last couple of weeks, will not change my opinion of him Reputations on an online Public Forum, now that is funny -
Picket, it's pressure, we need games like Friday night to learn to absorb and keep the skills high Would assume it was thought we could cover Westhoff, but unfortunately didn't work a couple of times, having a minute or two walk and then a 30sec on top helps you kick goals though Goodwin said in hindsight perhaps we should have gone taller, he learns as well, still haven't got the Lever missing sorted

Satyriconhome replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
My answer, we will get better at handling the pressure, but we need games like Friday night, the team is still evolving Additions, like Gaff, he has handled it really well last couple of weeks -
Goodwin did admit, Westhoff exploited My opinion I go to training, the lower the eyes is a constant mantra, players need to listen

I will ignore the condescension It is black and white, we went back to the old habit of bombing it in, from pressure and perceived pressure, we learn from it, players will get better under pressure Football doesn't need paragraphs of twaddle, it is a simple game I am supposed to be one of the one eyed supporters, at the start of the season, I had us finishing in 7th or 8th because I still don't think we are the finished product -
What a load of twaddle 1. Westoff exploited the lack of height in defence a couple of times 2. We went back to the old habit of bombing it into the 50, easy fix

Of course it is an easy fix, we were doing it in the 6 games we won on the bounce, we just got back to the old habit of bombing to a contest, even our good ball users did it, already spoken to a player, they were disappointed in that facet of the game, when it is drummed into them to lower the eyes and only bomb when necessary -

Which are a different group from the Demonland serial whingers and whiners, we are a good team, but all teams have ups and downs, we will get there, we just didn't lower the eyes going into the 50 on Friday, an easy fix, like the clearances which we fixed We have also beaten Adelaide away from the G this year as well -

Paraphrasing and misquoting again to point score, I said you said he was struggling when he was named in the best, note the difference Depends on his role, you don't have to get disposals to play your role, you seem to struggle with this concept I didn't say he was going great guns, again deliberately misquoting, obviously he is still not doing what the coaches require him to do, otherwise he would be in the AFL team -
A small forward occasionally appears in the best, it is not their role to dominate, they may appear if they kick a bag
