  1. I put the conversations for context, I certainly don't need to big note myself, particularly on here, there is too much competition The fact that Jeff continued to get selected should say something, but then again so did Hogan and he has already sold out of the club
  2. Apologies Will use quotation marks going forward
  3. Then don't read my posts, I think I can live through the devastation of knowing you don't ingratiate me " top game last week Jack, how's the corky?" Jack "thanks mate, it's fine should be ok for this weekend, did you see the game live?" me " yes" Jack "thanks for coming to training, see ya"
  4. Bumped into him in a lift at the G last year, took me a second or two to tecognise him, he remembered we had met about 5 years previously, I am easily recognisable but [censored] knows how he remembered after meeting so many people a top guy RIP Max
  5. So you are telling me anonymous posters on an internet board do not sure where you are coming from with that comment seems a bit bizarre I am not friends with players I chat to them at training and functions as I have the social skills to come out from behind my keyboard and do that You seem more intent on trolling than contributing to the thread which was about us looking at Motlop and then Jeff Garlett was brought up, in my opinion, in an erroneous manner
  6. I said the service into the foward line left a lot to be desired, I must starting using quotation marks, he said he was doing a couple of different roles Jeffs attitude towards training and playing is second to none, but every player can have a dip in form, he wore the demotion on the chin, which should tell you something
  7. If it's tongue in cheek, why are you defending what you said, you posted something, I thought it was incorrect and said why If you don't want posters questioning your posts, don't post Talking to players is something I enjoy doing, not a significant part of my life, Jeff was fully aware his form had dropped. But his role changed, in the last couple of games and the service to the forwards was atrocious, so he wasn't completely to blame for poor numbers
  8. It had nothing to do with the contract extension, I had a talk to him about it Some of the forward entries in some of the end of season games left a lot to be desired, and he was asked to perform a couple of different roles, It is laughable to say the least that you are suggesting he conned the FD to get an extended contract
  9. Would like to elaborate how Jeffy fell apart?.
  10. I always find it funny with the delistings etc, bumped into both Roh Bail and James Strauss this year, both happy in their lives without footy And then there is Cam Johnston a rookie from a few years ago, had quite a few chats to him, follow him on Twitter, now punter with Ohio State, playing regularly in front of 50000 each weekend I think justice is served most times
  11. I need to be a ruminant over the way this thread is going
  12. Yes, but it is the past, I get bored with MFC supporters continually looking over their shoulders, hopefully we have moved on. It a new season, these are the first 3 guys who have had to make way as we try and move forward again, like we have moved slowly forward since 2013. I am looking forward to the new season, even upgraded my membership, but think the guys deserve to be thanked in a thread like this, with a minimum of negativity, we all know why they were delisted
  13. The reason they were on that list and one was captain, was they went out and gave everything they could during a very dark period for the club, which they should be thanked for, but if you feel the need to blow raspberries who am I to stop you
  14. Does that mean from your memory banks, coz you are like me and you need the space for new information OD
  15. He didn't make a direct comparison between Jack Grimes and Brent Harvey, he said North Melbourne-ish ie delisting 4 'favourite' players in one hit and in a rather clumsy way, his opinion , a lot of supporters, myself included, have great respect for Jack Grimes the person, myself from the many conversations I have had with him, I am sorry to see him go, but understand why the club has done it from a footy point of view
  16. He is still with us till Oct 31 officially, so like Fitzy a club can give us a 4th or 5th round pick, should they choose, gives Jack the opportunity to talk to everybody.....whoops he is a free agent....forgot
  17. Agree with your sentiments, nicely put, hopefully the trolls will behave themselves now they have their wish
  18. This is the problem I have with managers these days, starting to go the way of European soccer, the player might not consider it but a manager might have his ear bent and he only sees the dollar signs, and convinces the player, no manager becomes a manager for altruistic reasons
  19. I'd have McGovern, Darling, Kennedy, Gaff, Shuey et al.........my personal favourite would be to see Luke Parker, after he picks up his Premiership medal next weekend, that he fancies a change and would like a trade to Melbourne........and then I wake up unfortunately
  20. Er....Hogan if he decides to go.....for Darling and Lamb and a pick? or whatever is a good deal for us
  21. So am I, but after Franklin and Tom Boyd nothing would surprise me any more, I would forget Lamb and make a play for Darling if rumours are correct
  22. Of all the names being thrown up on here Lamb seems to be the most interesting, probably hard when you are over in the west and from Victoria to stay interested when the only game you get rewarded with is in the WAFL. Maybe the change and Macca could be the answer, bur we have had a couple of hiccups in the shape of Newton and Kennedy, so club may be wary, though Kennedy showed bits and Newton missed the whole of preseason
  23. Mmmmm remember to take camera and oil if we sign him so I take it it was Big Footy saw it on there as well seems to have stagnated over west but has some serious competition for a forward spot and McGovern and Barass have him covered down back
  24. Did you get the 'news' about Lamb from BigFooty?
