  1. We will know if we are going to win or lose in the first 5 mins i reckon.....
  2. Oh so its not just me then....thats good.. Feel free to post up any good multis. I love them. We started another thread called Monkey Business a while back, to chat about punting on all other sports apart from racing. But its just as easy to post stuff here i guess?
  3. Your multis are amazing Gorgo....do you give classes? I like to take a few horses into a few Afl/Nrl games over a couple of days usually, so theyre slow burners but do ok sometimes. I find about 6 legs is the max for me. Had some good returns, but not consistent enough.
  4. I will have a look at Monza tonight Rollin, i see Dan is 7th on the grid. He was storming home last week eating up about 12 seconds in 3 laps, but the commentators seemed to miss it? Not sure why he didnt do that earlier, my only guess is tyre wear......
  5. That was an excellent place pick. They are often a lot harder than you think and especially at a good price. Really well done.
  6. Yes was an excellent day. Ok, long live capitalism haha....its certainly got a big dent in itself lately, the stazi might be making a comeback soon. I recommend catching a few replays if you get the chance. Some excellent finishes and Dwanne Dunns barrier headbutt, hope he doesnt get suspended for destruction of VRC property !
  7. It was a top day i thought Macca, pity you had to work. Hopefully you get to see some good racing over the Spring. Definitely here now. We were pretty unlucky in the latter races, although mine was well beaten. Im also wondering Macca....if somebody posts their BB as a place, and it runs a place, is that not a correct selection, so therefore its a winner? Thats how i came up with the tally of 3 winners today. Conversely, if someone posts a horse to win and it runs a place then its a place. I guess it doesnt really matter, just think we have a better strike rate than 5, i think its 6. But it is a bit confusing i guess.
  8. Surprise Baby replaces Russian Camelot as fav for the Melbourne Cup @ 9/1
  9. Disappointing run from River Night.....went backwards....maybe 1000 is its go. We did very well though today... 6: 3.1.1 outstanding tipping team ! Whats the overall Macca?
  10. Its kinda amazing it doesnt happen more often, given a few of them rare up when the gates open...
  11. Looked like it jumped up when the gates opened and the jockey smashed his head into the stalls.......funny ive never seen that happen before?
  12. Yeah Night of Thunder and i damn forgot to post it..........bug. Nature Strip up now....

Good luck team !
  14. Yeah no problem with that at all, cast your net into the sea! You can go to HK or anywhere else also if you spot something. Macca often posts some international meetings and we were all over Ascot earlier this year. We also have been following Night of Thunder horses, since its now the leading sire in Europe and its progeny do very well and often win at good odds. They are starting to get to Australia and hence my selection in River Night. Cherry Tortoni is one good example. We post them up here from time to time.
  15. Im happy to go with @Biffen roughie selection every week if he wants to do it that way. It can be in any race, i just wont put it in the multi. Simple. As for JV7s selection,. i thought we didnt want 2 selections in 1 race?.......again i dont really care, but make up your minds.
  16. Nah, not rules Biff, just courtesies that have arisen from past experiences......saves arguments.

  20. Ok JV7 welcome aboard ! (again) I will take this opportunity to outline what we do here: @Macca @Dee Zephyr @Gorgoroth @Biffen 1. You can select one runner from any meeting anywhere, across an entire weekend. 2. Please dont make a selection in a race that somebody else has previously selected a Best Bet in. (Its easy to check just by reading a few previous posts). 3. We prefer selections to be in by midnight Friday, if your selection is scratched Saturday morning, then you can select another. 4. Nominate the Meeting, the Race, the Horse and the Price. 5. You can select for a win (W) or a place (P) We put the selections together in a multi just for a bit of fun and as a quick reference guide. You can use the selections in anyway you like or not at all. Its not a competition between posters and we dont care who wins what but we do try to select 1 runner that will win. Odds dont really matter. (but dont make it 1.20). Feel free to chat about the races during the day, but we dont want any nasty arguments...its a punter friendly thread here at ADATR and we are just here for a bit of fun. (If anyone wants to add anything to the above, feel free)
  21. You know its a bad year when your barracking for the Blues
