[censored]. Would much rather have him on the list than some late round spud. -
I love the banner, a wonderful tribute to a wonderful man. Would love it if we could something going with a legend from each era. Eg: Checker > Smith > Barrass > Mann > Flower > Stynes > Neitz > Jones

The parted hair part is true.

Doesn't seem like the best decision for the Dees. If he's on 1.8m over 4 years we'll be lucky to get pick [censored] 20.
-
I hope we do that. If Geelong or even Collingwood still wanted him, they would pay.

Is that slang for a kick in the t.hunt?

Classic. Absolutely hilarious? WTF is going through this guys head? I'll be amazed if he makes it through next season. He is clearly NQR!

We're all jealous but there's no need to be a [censored].

The COLA is already being abolished.
-
Andrew Newbold - Hawthorn Richard Colless - Sydney Rob Chapman - Adelaide Mark LeGuidice - Carlton Paul Little - Essendon Peter Gordon - Bulldogs Thos are the only ones I can name aside from the media people in Eddie, Koch and JB. No idea who replaced Costa at the Cats.

Abso-[censored]-utely it does. The way that he conducted himself when retiring was exemplary at face value. He admitted he was mentally ill and people really got behind him. In football, which is more of a "harden up" game than an "r u ok" one - this was massive. Massive for depression sufferers, massive for players who may be too afraid to speak up. Massive for anyone who was suffering in this country to see such a great reaction to a player admitting he was sick. Now, people will be more afraid to speak up. More afraid of being ridiculed or accused of making it up. What a joke.

I thought the Toumpas vs Wines debates were just parodying the ridiculous nature of judging a kid before he matures. Now it seems that they're authentic. 19 ... years ... old

Digging for gold - Targetting Under-achievers

From the perspective of someone with anxiety and depression issues I feel absolutely sick to the core. Sick about Clark's actions, sick about the fact that this has been allowed to happen under Roos and co's noses thanks to that bastion of morality Eddie and sick about the fact that Buckley has been allowed to comment on the ambitions and health of a player who IS CONTRACTED TO ANOTHER FOOTBALL CLUB. Very few things give me greater satisfaction than Nathan Buckley walking out on a side to go to one who would lose twice on GF day under his pathetic leadership to that very team. The fact that his footy club has gone down the shitter thanks to his behemoth ego makes it all the better.

Really wouldn't want to lose loyal kids like Trengove and Toumpas, but with the market as it is I feel like we would be negligent to not explore ever avenue to acquiring Dangerfield. He is one of the most marketable players in the league, and he's an awesome player to boot. One concern is the head injuries though - how prohibitive are they?
-
It would have to be a doctor who isn't on Clark's payroll, and that may pose problems considering most professionals would recognise how disastrous it would be for half the AFL's fanbase to hate his guts. Especially if he goes to Collingwood.
-
It's really just Jones, Tyson, Hogan, Viney and Salem who I would be dead against trading.
-
Agreed. If Nate goes, I go.
-
Mahoney on 3AW. Says the club needs to weigh up whether Mitch is ready for the downside of AFL too.
-
He just said on 7 he'd love to stay at Melbourne
-
Only encouraging quote was "I would never say no to one of my players being under Paul Roos".

Norm Smith's Curse likes this - a sign from above?

It is no longer the responsibility of anyone associated with the MFC to wish Clark well if what GNF said is true. He's not our problem. Which it pretty clearly is.

Don't use Clark to justify Scully's decision to take a million a year over six. He made the right decision. If anything, Clark's move to Melbourne after saying his Grandma was ill in Perth is closer to what Tom did. I have forgiven Tom Scully for everything but lying to Jim Stynes in his own kitchen.
