I feel for McCartin, its almost an identical situation as Angus Brayshaw. The top 3 of that draft have all had serious hurdles, with Petracca doing his ACL. Which strangely enough, is the less serious situation of the three and hes back playing and looking amazing. That was just about a career ending injury 30 years ago, now players can come back better than ever from an ACL, Meanwhile concussions are treated much more serious these days, and repeated concussions are now career threatening (or career stalling at the least).

After 12 games hes averaging 30.3 disposals. This is the highest average in the history of the MFC, in fact we have never had a player average 30+ in a season.

If hes not All Australian the MFC should sue the selectors and AFL.

He is 1st at the club in total Rebound 50's despite missing the first four games of the season. Averages almost twice as many as second placed Christian Salem. Out of all those highlights, nothing tops watching A Jakovich. Nothing. With a healthy body and mind he would have kicked 1000 career goals and been the first Demon top 100 in a season.

The fact that 100 career goals is mythical to Demons fans shows how woeful the cub has been as far as individual accomplishments and career goal tallies. We have been around over 100 years, yet in five or so years from now both of the new clubs, GWS and GOld Coast, will each have a player (Cameron and Lynch) that will eclipse our leading goalkicker (Neitz). But its not just goals we are terrible at - Nathan Jones average of 28.05 disposals in 2016 was the highest season average in MFC history. Jack Vineys 26.1 in 2016 was the 4th highest in MFC history. These are embarasingly low numbers for club records. Why do we suck so badly statistically?
