One rather annoying problem (for me at least) is the inability to view a replay of a game part way through then come back later to where you left off. Rather,  the replay starts back at the beginning, and the fast forward function is very slow!!! Surely this is something the tech people at Kayo could fix? Quite frustrating!

On my Apple TV, you can play from start, then pause and slide the green dot to any point in the game within a few seconds and then hit play again.  That’s how I go back to where I was up to.

Finals schminals....people forget we should have played finals last year and were in the hunt the year before before capitulating. The stepping stone is overdue, if we miss, it's a massive failure.

    Should of but didn't!

make the finals is the first goal, then let it ride see what happens

  3. Finals is an important stepping stone on the way to the ultimate goal.  Even if we play one final this year and drop out, it's 1 extra game of finals experience the side gets.

It also breaks the finals drought, paving the way for the assault on the flag for the next few years.

About to hit the road from Mildura for tonight’s blockbuster. The car is packed with 5 dees supporters locked and loaded.

Never been to Adelaide Oval for a night match. Very excited.

We are in the general admin/standing area which I’m guessing gets pretty feral. Is it worth donning the full dees kit or not worth the trouble from the locals?

    Port rarely draw a crowd.

Therefore there is also General admin seating in the top of the stand at the river end, if the Ferals turn ugly, which they will when they start losing :.)

Ill be in the full gear - loud and proud!

So what would you have all done if you were Andrew Fagan in this situation? You're the CEO of the club, and you receive several complaints from your premium club members over the behaviour of guests in the club on game day?

Refer said members to the code of conduct, or behavioural standards that accompany the membership.  Inform said members on how to contact security or staff when those standards are breached.

I mean seriously there is a line, and it was either crossed or it wasn't.  Sometimes a quiet word from security can resolve the issue.  I mean does Fagan email all members to make sure their guests don't wear board shorts and tank tops, or does he expect standards are applied.

Maybe he could address the atrocious $150+ it cost for 2 adult tickets, or the non existent lighting whilst his rank and file members walk back to their cars in the pitch black through the parklands.

Didn't PJ mentioned a few years back that they wanted a store in a more centralised location in the CBD? Regardless of how nice the apparel is, is the branding effective if people not otherwise engaged with it are actually aware of it? I can't imagine anyone that isn't a Melbourne supporter making the effort to catch the train to Richmond or Jolimont, and then walking to the bowels of the MCG to buy a t-shirt.

Have you heard of online shopping?  Retail outlets are an outdated business model.

Presence on Game-day I get, in a merchandising van or other suitable location at the ground, where you have a targeted audience walking past.  You aren't making money selling to tourists walking past a retail outlet.

That's great that your girls love the footy. My young bloke who's 7 years old usually supports the opposing team when it's on the television just to wind me up. He's shown little interest in wearing the footy gear I buy. I must admit, I've never bought a nerd shirt for him so I can't say he won't like one.

    Thanks for changing my perception.?

Complete waste of money, but also consider AFL trading cards.  My eldest has got into trading the cards at school.  They also start to match the players to the cards they have, and Its amazing how she can all of sudden talk about who the best and fairest is, and which players are better than others.  It also seems to transition from trading the cards to kicking the footy at lunch time amongst her school friends, who are mostly boys.

So, without detracting from the 'clash guernsey' thread, I thought it would be interesting to start a discussion around what other supporters feel about the range, the strategy of renewing or tweaking the designs year on year to keep revenues ticking over. The Star Wars, Ninja Turtle, Nerd T shirts they persist on pitching. There must be a market for it, right? I know I've never bought any if it for my children.

My youngest girl (6) loves maxy gawn, so we bought her a Nerd T, and the eldest girl (8) a nathan jones Nerd T.  I couldn't get one because they had sold out, and said they were not getting more in, to keep it exclusive, and so they didn't overdo a god thing.  My kids love those shirts, and honestly with all the ballet, dancing and other stuff, it feels nice to have them so interested in the footy.  Many of my friends have mentioned how cool those T's are.

Ive also ordered some more T's for the wife to give me for xmas.

So in short, There is a market, and I like some of the stuff they put out.  I guess they have a variety since not every supporter has the same taste in fashion.  For example I hate caps without a bend in the peak, I can't stand those flat peaked caps :.(

  9. I have him a high five on the boundary line after the Port Adelaide game, you could just tell he was absolutely stuffed/exhausted, he must have given it absolutely everything.  Another player or two seemed less in this category, so I reckon its due to alot of damn hard work.

I am going to throw caution to the wind and wear my scarf. My better half will protect me. She is fearsome.

I have been to many a game in Adelaide (since I live here), and I have never - ever - had a problem.

Be Loud Be Proud, but don't be a Moron and try and pick a fight and you'll be just fine.

  11. Surely the Weeds corky isn't that bad and this is a managed way of dropping him for Hogan, whilst saving him from being "dropped", since he can't run out a full game at AFL level.  Whilst we are an outside chance, we must play the best fittest side available until the 8 is no longer possible.

Will be going to this one and look forward to seeing big Maxy dominate this game!!!

  12. The AFL as a whole has a problem with how poor teams like Essendon and Brisbane have been.

Its not just the number of games they have lost, its how uncompetitive they have been in doing so.  Adelaide got a HUGE percentage boost that made a real difference to their finishing position on the ladder.

Some teams got to play Brisbane twice this year, whilst others don't.

I think because the AFL draw is so compromised, they have to do something to make these teams at least competitive relative to the rest of the competition.

You may find Tigers shorten slightly if Deledio is selected. They may be holding here. And many punters may be holding off until selection too.

I think the Tigers will start favourites just, and fwiw I think the Dees will be switched on for this blockbuster. Which I think would be a good sign on the big stage.

Yep your right, already out to $2 for the dees now, should of held off longer.  Obviously im the only one who thinks we are at worst 50/50 to win this game

  14. Its interesting that the bookies keep offering value to bet on the dees.  It tells me that the majority of punters don't rate us, and the bookies are offering value.

I have had a very small bet on every demons game this year, heres the odds I got for each match:

vs Pt Adelaide (NAB) odds $6.25

    vs WB (NAB) odds $2

vs St Kilda (NAB) odds $2.55

    vs GWS odds $2.35

vs ESS (I had to pick a margin to get value and still lost) over 40pts $1.95   Losing bet

vs Nth Melbourne odds $6.50  Losing Bet

    vs Collingwood odds $2.45

vs Richmond I have taken $1.92, thinking we won't get out much higher than that.

In every game we have been either even money or better (excluding  the Essendon game), i think there is definate value on the Dees this year so far.

    1. 12.1.2  Scoring a Behind

Subject to Law 12.2, a Behind is scored when any of the following occurs:

      1. (a)  the football touches or passes over the goal post or touches

padding or any other attachment to the goal post; or

      2. (b)  the football passes completely over the Behind Line; or

      3. (c)  a Player of the attacking Team Kicks the football over the Goal Line but before passing over the Goal Line, the football is touched by another Player; or

      4. (d)  if a Player from the defending Team Kicks, Handballs, knocks or otherwise takes the football over the Goal Line or Behind Line; or

      5. (e)  if a defending Player plays on from behind the Goal Line or Behind Line and, in doing so, moves off the direct line between themself and the Player standing The Mark.

  15. I took the $6.25 against port, and I'll take the $2 against the dogs. Nab cup anything can happen so even money after the first performance, with Vince and jones to get a run seems like fair odds.

agree with the sentiments above strong foundation means we can attack without bleeding goals, and we can revert to clogging up the back as and when required during games.

when you take the first option, and move the ball quickly its advantage team with the ball
