2020 Player Reviews: #12 Toby Bedford
Covid has had an enormous impact on young developing players outside the best 22. It has hindered their development badly & they have had little or no opprtunity To develop or show their wares.

"The most important player we have." This is arguably the silliest comment ever posted in Demonland.

2020 Player Reviews: #17 Harley Bennell
Only had to behave himself for another 24 hours & he would have been fine.

2020 Player Reviews: #20 Adam Tomlinson
Very average player IMO just like he was at GWS. His recruitment makes me seriously wonder if our Brains Trust has any idea or is totally clueless.

Jack Steven
Only if he turned up fit. Clearly carrying excess weight & lacked fitness this year.

Quinton Narkle
Definitely a yes from me. Would of been well coached & developed at Geelong & has a bit of X factor. Won't cost much. Go for it.

Isaac Smith
A pox on Geelong. Hope they go the same way as the Crows after their 2017 Grand Final.

SMALL FORWARDS EVERYWHERE - Lets get one
Goal kicking, quality small forwards seem to be popping up everywhere in trade talk, Fantasia, Jack Lonie, 2 x Higgins. We lack such players so I hope we make a decent offer & land one of these.

2020 Player Reviews: #41 Jay Lockhart
Agree. Needs to improve his disposal which can be sloppy. Also slips over too often.

Mr Beige Lacked aggression, not particularly quick, average kick, average mark.

Free agency - the rich (clubs) get richer
Completely disagree. There is no such thing as unrestricted right to pick your employer in the AFL. The draft & salary cap are there to try & make a more level playing field. Free agency has helped Hawks, Cats & Tigers to top up their lists. Makes good sense to bar preliminary finalists from free agency. Ma

Farewell Oscar McDonald
Exactly - an A grade spud. He got awards as St Kilda & Freo's finals player 'cause Lyon was in love with him. Supporters at both clubs hated him. Turnover merchant with no skills. Clarkson delisted him at Hawthorn quick smart. Saints would have won a couple of flags if they'd have had a quality defender in place of Dawson.

Hassa Mann Turns 80
Dreadful decision by the Club to let him go. So many of our better players from the mid sixties to mid seventies were let go or left for greener pastures - Dillon, Parke, Brewer, Kenneally, Callery, Groom, Keenan, Fitzsimmons, Thorne

You really are a clueless nincompoop.

Brad Green on Board?
I'm disappointed that you had to add the annoying post modern "to be honest". Are we to assume that your usual comments are dishonest ?

Sam Frost 7th in Hawks B&F
Not sure whether you are actually dumb or just pretending to be dumb so I will keep it simple. Letting Frost go & keeping Oscar (& recruiting Tomlinson) did not improve our list & cost more $. The reason our team improved in 2020 was less injuries, key players improving & some clever draft picks.

Orazio Fantasia
Barely played this year & missed a lot of games last year. Sign him up !

Rob Flower 6 years ago today
Great words fellers. One of the great tragedies is that some of the magic he wove on the field was never recorded because not all games were on TV back then. I recall some incredible weaves & runs in the late 70's but alas no cameras were at the ground.

Farewell Oscar McDonald
You are (almost) on your own on this one. Mitch Brown showed in the last round he is a mile ahead of Oscar as a cheap defensive back up for a year or 2.
-
Sam Frost 7th in Hawks B&F
We went forwards this year because we had fewer injuries, because May & Trac stepped up & our recruits did well
-
Sam Frost 7th in Hawks B&F
That is complete billshut. Why do you have to make things up to further your argument ? Frost wanted a modest 2 year deal & we offered 1 year. By any objective measure he is a mile ahead of Oscar and even if you are super generous to Tomlinson then you could say he is on a par with Frost but is on 1 & a half times the $. It was a stupid, dumb decision that took us backwards.

Life in Australia - Melbourne 1966
The street scenes look like 1965 because I spotted a couple of HD Holdens.

I don't mind opinion but these comments are blatantly stupid. He had some poor patches of form but overall he was a very handy player who played some very good games for us. He was one of the elite kicks in the competition & was a very handy player at Port & helped them sink us when we played them last year.

Good to hear people's opinion however a number of your comments are not supported by any evidence or facts such as "gifted about 100 games". I doubt anybody would agree with you so I'm wondering what metric or measure you used ?
