PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Gold Coast
I'd like to see VanRooyen not worry about jostling with his opponent in a lead up to a marking contest. I find him always trying to keep the backman at his side with one arm and then trying to take a mark at the last minute. He always finds himself caught under the ball whilst fending off his opponent. Just lead and take a strong contested mark, leave the interference for the ump to decide.

Email from Peter Lawrence
I just completed the survey with an emphatic NO. What is alarming is that you don't get any confirmation of what you've registered in a formal email.. eg. "you're reply has been received....etc". When you complete the Survey, all it says is "Thank you! - and the Yes/No vote is on default YES.....be aware. I sent him an email asking what the hell! He has got our emails by default from the Club, they had no choice but to provide them to him. Somehow, a Court ruling doesn't seem to get through to him.

"Very sore" Max Gawn in doubt for next Saturday vs Essendon
This is very interesting and have been watching what TDK is doing at Carlton. (oppo watch) At centre bounces maybe every third bounce, he stays down and doesn't jump in the ruck giving the Blues 4 mids on the ground to get the loose ball. He also does this at boundary throw-ins and clears it. Something to watch.

Harrison Petty
Scott Thompson was homesick, and requested trade back to Crows. After we groomed and nurtured him through injury and about to make his mark. Played 49 games with MFC in 4yrs and then 269 games with the Crows. It will be interesting to watch Petty's body language for the rest of the year. Will we see another Luke Jackson and not go at the contest fearing injury like he played in 2022. Petty will do the same and not want to jeopardise his prospects for a trade.

NON-MFC: Round 01
Sydney not interested in taking clean possessions all the time. Very good at: hand passing out to space, tapping, jumping, punching the ball forward, gut running both ways until they get that clean possession that sets them up. They look super fast and fit. Did not expect them to do that at The G. We need to take the game on rather than play safe footy. Hoping to see some drive and flair against the Dogs.

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Walyalup
I've noticed this season that teams seem to be able to shimmy, baulk, fein a handball where we look spooked and just want to kick in hope. Smashed at the contest because we can't evade an opponent. And don't get me started on not having our crumbers at the drop of the contested mark. Frustrating week after week. But...haven't given up. It's a tight contest this year

Lumumba sues AFL and Filth
When HL says on radio "he has taped all dealings with the AFL in the past 10 yrs" does that mean he has recordings with our team members too? Concerning. Also naming Gary Pert.

Farewell Sam Frost
Anyone know of any ongoing rumblings that Frosty and May don't get along? Could this be the reason he's looking elsewhere? Haven't seen or heard anything after their on-field "discussions" to think that everything is a-ok.
