Adrian Fletcher has left Brisbane ( on AFL website) anyone know if he is worth pursuing. Has been an assistant at Collingwood , Geelong & Brisbane.

Hi Nasher, there seems to be an issue, for me anyway trying to log into page '110' of the 'trade draft rumour thread.... 109 & 111 will all open as any other page I've tried, except the dreaded page 110?
as if its the 'Lift' with the 13th floor? it just won't stop there?
Having the same problem on my phone. All other pages seem okay.

Just like we were never going to get Roos

What if Frawley has already indicated he will leave next year. Is Frawley for Shiel & Adams a fair deal ?

Lewis Jetta and Gary Rohan to Melbourne for pick 2
you heard it here first
I hope you are joking. Doesn't help us at all , would prefer to keep pick 2 .

Same problem here on a few occasions. Just have to press the Back Button & try again. Usually goes in OK on second try.

The AFL will probably decide we don't need any compensation because we now have Roos, we "didn't " tank and we have so much latent talent on our list. No, we are not dreaming.
Franklin is pick 19 due to Hawthorn winning the flag.
If Hawthorn ended up where MFC did, they'd obviously get a much higher pick.
A case can be made that sides that do win the flag - don't need as great a compo.
In other sports, usually that freed up cap space is somewhat of a reward in itself - but those are often sports with an unlimited cap.
I think the AFL has a long way to go to get the structure right, for the time being there will be big grey areas in the FA structure that the AFL currently has in place.
On Sylvia though, given that Port got second rounders for Chaplin and Pearce, then we will be getting one for Colin.
Not only was Sylvia a higher pick, but he was arguably better performed than both and on a better dollar.

See you've found your way across here now. Other threads too boring?

Sloane is good and proven! Would take him over a young question mark!
The question is why would Adelaide give up a proven player for a young question mark.

Gee I'm bored and absolute no!
You say no more than an average wife . Do you at least say yes on significant anniversaries.

The point is , is there is no point

For all the ranting & raving on here, does anyone really think 1 priority pick was going to suddenly make us a super team. Sure it would have helped, but the only thing that will drag us off the bottom are guts & determination & intelligent drafting.
Mr Roos it's now up to you, the AFL has put its faith in you & your credibility is now on the line.

We definitely need to create our own PP by using the PSD to our advantage.
That's great if we can find a player good enough who is happy to come to a club that is portrayed as a loser.

So as I see it if he goes into the draft he becomes like a father - son type scenario. So the Swans can select him after any other club calls his name in the draft with their next pick. So all Colless is whinging about is having to pay fair price for Perris's drafting. If the Swans want him they can still have him but would have to give up a reasonable pick and pay the kid a fair salary.
-
Maybe Colless should have considered what would happen if Roos went to another club BEFORE he cut his salary by 55%.

If Aish hasn't pondered the possibility that he might land at St Kilda, then he isn't human.
Blind Freddy can see that St Kilda are in deep trouble the next few years.
Gee it's lucky we aren't a basket case of a club at the moment, he might dread coming to the MFC too.

Can someone explain the rules relating to the Sydney Academy. The way it was written in the article suggested that Sydney were able to pick him up with their last pick in the draft. Is this true? If so how can we legally obtain him?
-
I believe Roos will improve our current list.
I just can't see established good players coming to us until we do improve.
I hope I'm wrong, but as Little Goofy pointed out we do still have a no. 2 pick to look forward to.

Second week?
Okay so I was showing my generous side. Should I have said 80% of the time?
-
What if we fail to land any decent mids this off season?
Will the Roos effect and cash be enough for players to see melbourne as a desirable club?
Will the stench of our past 6 seasons override the potential new dawn?
I hate to agree, but I think our chances this year are slim. Players will not want to come to us until we show some improvement. Maybe next year if Roos can instil some confidence into our existing players. Who would want to come to a team who gets thrashed every second week.
-
Time to start a sack Roos thread?
Maybe the AFL have instigated a plot to send MFC interstate (Darwin?).
First step - Infiltrated the club with PJ & PR to undermine our existence.
Second step - draft Jolly & Martin & then watch the rot set in.
Then again maybe I've just had too much to drink

No change of balls back then either . Impossible to kick more than about 30 mtrs after the first quarter.

Not sure who will be better in the future. There does seem to be a fair bit of premature adulation on here for Wines. Thought his second half was pretty disappointing.

Anyone else think that we should try and pick up a key defender with one of our later picks. Unless we are thinking of playing Hogan or Watts back we only have Dunn & Pedersen as back up tall defenders.
Anyone any thoughts?
