Farewell Jesse Hogan
Judd was pick 3,4(JK) and 20. Hogan should be minimum 5 & 6.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Ok then. Judd was traded for pick 3, JK(Taken at pick 4), and pick 20. So based on Mahoney comment it should be more then that.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yeah we will. Treloar was 7 & 7 and Mahoney has said that Hogan’s trade value is higher then anyone before him.
-
Farewell Dean Kent
Someone else will draft him before 75. Would definitely let them try that as 75 isn’t worth [censored] to us anyway.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Works better for them as they want the academy points. Throw in the Kent pick if need be.

We should get 4&5 off Freo. Offer 4 to Port for 9/10 Trade Vandenberg with our 2 third rounders for pick 13 Use pick 13 for May and KK Out: Hogan, VDB, 3rd roundeds In: Pick 5, Pick 9, Pick 10, May, KK. Hell why not then try use 5 and 10 for Kelly to top it all off.

Why? He brought this on himself so he needs to own it. Every other player is

Farewell Jesse Hogan
It’s clear as day his heart isn’t with the MFC

Farewell Jesse Hogan
He needs to say something opposed to skirting around it. We need more time to organise trades. Honestly I hope media hassles the [censored] out of him until he makes a decision so we can get ourselves sorted before trade period ends.

[censored] oath Jesse needs to say something. What’s hiding from this going to do? It is now just burning into our time to spend our picks 4 & 5. He needs to man up and come clean on what he wants opposed to wasting everyone’s time. He has been thinking about this for 6 years so what’s a couple days going to do? State your intentions Jesse so everyone can move on.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Jesse needs to make a decision. His heart obviously isn’t in it otherwise he wouldn’t have asked Goodwin about going to Perth. The longer this drags out, the less time we have to spend our compensation. Beating around the bush isn’t going to do anyone any favours Jesse

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Lol no one in the AFL would rate a pick 5 in a draft lottery higher then Hogan.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Ah well no Hogan for them then.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Mahoney also said they would expect heavy compensation from the Dockers, given they believe he's worth the "highest that anyone has been traded for". This tells me we want 4&5. Does anyone know what’s the highest anyone has been traded for previously?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
No one cares about points unless there is academy or FS bidding in play. if we hold pick 4, we tell them give us 9/10 or say goodbye to Rankine.

We need to play hardball to ensure we are the club to trade with Port for the 9/10 combo. Freo are desperate and can’t have the cake and eat it to. We should demand pick 4 to guarantee this happens.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
We should by all means let the Neale trade happen first. By doing so it will allow us to then request pick 4 from Freo instead of pick 5. The big difference here is that it will allow us to trump Freo on down trading with Port for pick 9/10 as pick 4 is worth more. By doing this it will allow us to end up with picks 9/10 (and maybe Freos 2019 first rounder as part of Hogan trade). Opposed to just picks 5 and 9.

WE e are in prime position to benefit from the concessions Gold Coast have been given and I hope we bring this into play with the May deal. Instead of just May for pick 10, we could push for Lockard, May, KK and maybe even another state league player for example.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
We paid picks 3 and 13 to get Hogan to the club. Then developed him from a teen to one of the best forwards in the game. Pick 5 alone won’t go near getting this deal done.

There’s no suggestion the Demons are actively looking to ship out Hogan, but if a ‘Godfather’ offer arrived — they’d be silly not to give it some thought. Of course, if Hogan is settled and doesn’t want to leave Victoria — then the discussions won’t get further than that. Fremantle appear to have the more pressing need for a key forward and Hogan fits the bill perfectly. With Lachie Neale set for a move to Brisbane, the Dockers could possibly hold Pick 4 (Brisbane) and Pick 5. GOING THE EXTRA MILE: Potential No. 1 pick not ‘satisfied’ yet Bailey Smith would be a very good fit for Melbourne. Photo: Michael Dodge/Getty Images. For a player of Hogan’s calibre, there’s no doubting both picks would have to be in play — but the Dockers might be looking for something in return, perhaps a future first round pick — which Melbourne would be hoping to be between Pick 14-18 in 2019 or an early second round selection. The Demons currently hold Pick 32 in 2018, having traded their first round pick to Adelaide in return for Jake Lever. If the Demons walked into draft night with Picks 4 and 5, Vic Metro MVP Bailey Smith would be the perfect fit into their midfield and could add some burst out of the centre of the ground. Lively South Australian small forward Izak Rankine could be considered, while key defender Ben King could help sure up their backline for years to come.”

Quoting about 1/10th of my post. Maybe read the rest of the post first before doing so.... By doing this we would free up cap space (To snare a Gaff or Shiel) and another top 5 draft pick.

If they throw picks 4 and 5 for Hogan and Kent I would take it in an instant. Use pick 4 to draft one of the King brothers to replace Hogan. Trade down pick 5 for a couple of picks in the easy-mid teens. Get rid of a player with an injured foot, free up a heap of cap space for a free agent (Like Sheil) and have multiple first rounders (in the teens) in the draft for some more mids/backs. End up with - King - Free agent using Cap space - 2 picks in first round Lose 1. Forward with injured Foot who will end up leaving anyway once his a FA. 2. Forward whose always injured and will probably also leave when his a FA.
