  1. Yep itโ€™s not 2012, who goes to nightclubs these days?
  2. Oliver was better than Mills when it counted. There, I said it!
  3. I thought Ben Brown was very good, and it is no coincidence that Tommy kicks his first bag of goals for the year when BB is playing well and dragging away a defender. 7 goals from our 2 talls in the wet is a fantastic return (should have been 8, Brown just missed a gettable one). It was nice to see Brown jumping at the footy a bit more. He is not going to win agility awards, but to his credit was involved when the ball hit the deck. He is about as defensive as Fritsch when the ball hits the ground, which is acceptable for a big man (Fritsch however needs to do more, especially when he can't get a sniff of the goals). He was a very unlikable player for me when he was at Norf, so I sort of ignored his talents. But he is undeniably a very very good forward who is hard to defend against because he is so tall and such a good overhead mark. A team can never play against him and not put a lot of thought into how to defend against him, which is a great thing for us, as it means Tmac and Fritsch are less likely to be double and triple teamed. Once these 3 can learn to not all jump for the same mark, we will see even better results. This was happening a bit when May, Lever and Tomlinson first started playing together, but now they have sorted themselves out beautifully (and Petty was definitely not getting in their way on the weekend to his credit). The same will happen with some continuity for these 3.
  4. I agree. Except if May sneezes wrong for the rest of the season he will get suspended due to this prior conviction.
  5. I know we wonโ€™t do it, but gees I wish we would have a total sook to the AFL about the treatment of our players the way some clubs do. Who knows, now we are a good team they might listen.
  6. Yeah nothing in it. Could have dropped him on his neck and broke it. Not to mention off the ball and unnecessary.
  7. Watched the replay. Trac was suffering. He has a lot of thigh. Could take a week to come good. Lucky itโ€™s a 7 day break, but if heโ€™s not 100% a week off could be good.
  8. Massive job for May next week. Also I really hope that when we play the dogs May can give that absolute [censored] Josh Bruce a bath. For too long that man and his stupid hair has Kent Kingsley-ed our arses.
  9. This is where losing Viney really hurts. Teams will never tag him because you always tag Oliver or Trac. But he is an A grade clearance player who attacks the ball in a way Clarry and Trac donโ€™t. He also can shut down his opponent. Something the other two will not bother doing because offensively theyโ€™re too important. When we play Trac, Oliver and letโ€™s say Harmes or Kosi at the bounce, we are playing too many similar players. They all look to be offensive rather than defensive and they all are similar in the way they win the ball. Itโ€™s why Jackson adds to much, because he is a different beast and wins his own footy. JJ could probably play the Viney role, but itโ€™s not that easy to teach and will take time. As a young player you donโ€™t want to give him too many constraints. You want to let him play his natural game and attack the contest. He was very good last night. Sydney and North both have very good ruckman and very good clearance players. We take the 4 points and we take some lessons and hope Viney and his toe can get going ASAP.
  10. Sydney have some absolute Oscar winning players in their side. So many dropped shoulders.
  11. And some are at the level where they get called James Jones and Josh Hunt ?
  12. Yep apparently throwing Langdon on his head is play on. #notpositivelingers
  13. Channel 7 footy coverage is the TV equivalent of the daily mail. You read it because itโ€™s free and readily available, but itโ€™s also complete trash and you know it.
  14. Silvagni is out with concussion. Will miss next week.
  15. Gawn will have to drop back to help. We certainly canโ€™t be giving up 17 clearances to them tho.
  16. Come on Blues.... ... Iโ€™ll see myself out
  17. I would give Gawn a week off against Carlton. It allows him to freshen up. Weideman can come in for a game. Jackson and Tmac can take the ruck work and Brown can ruck up forward with Weideman.
  18. Viney plays the defensive role. Itโ€™s why I wanted Sparrow to play because this is also where he excels.
  19. The Toby Greene of Sydney. A total [censored].
  20. Ummm he missed last week and this week and has another 7 days until our next game. How is that not equal to 2 weeks?
  21. If Viney is fit he will play. Trac may miss with that corky. Thatโ€™s a lot of thigh to cork.
  22. Clarry had 10 clearances. BOG with Tmac and May. Agree on the rest.
  23. Our Centre clearance work this season has been woeful. We need Viney back and we need Gawn to either learnt to do a better job tapping to advantage or we need to play Jackson in there as he wins his own ball.
  24. Ummm he was leading the 1%, he held Buddy goalless. I bet he will feature strongly in the coaches votes. He. Is. A. Star.
