  1. It is well documented that the sort of foot injury he sustained in late 2023, takes 18-24 months at a minimum to recover from. It is one of the worst and most debilitating injuries to sustain, especially if you're someone who needs to be able to jump off the ground at the contest. It is 10 times harder to come back from than a standard ACL. Petty is now 2 years post injury and it looks like he has gained some confidence in his body as a result.
  2. My guess is they wanted to get him to his 250th, which is fair enough. He is still a decent defender, but without Lever there to help cover the hole, he has no speed left off the mark to be able to compete with the fast breaking forwards. And he can't bend down either. 2026 will definitely be his last in the AFL.
  3. I think tactical. Hopefully not his last game. Deserves much better than to be subbed out to end his career.
  4. I am personally happy that he's sticking with the Saints. At least for now. It's good for the game when smaller clubs keep their stars, and he is one hell of a star.
  5. I am not doubting your info, but if the decision has been made to move May on, then why the [censored] is Petty still playing forward? Petty is the very very obvious ready made replacement for May. If we wanted to keep playing May for 'currency', we could play Petty instead of Tmac. This reeks of poor planning by our club. Not that that shocks me.
  6. So the club without a coach is planning to not play May, despite signing him to a one year deal earlier this season? Who is making that call?
  7. Who’s plan?
  8. We can appoint them prior to the GF and they can start immediately after. I would hate to miss out on a great opportunity for the sake of 1-2 weeks
  9. It’s nice when a coach has no pressure to win so can try lots of different moves. I understand Bowey at half forward but glad they moved him when it didn’t work. Also nice to see Rivwrs moved to the middle. We really missed Windsor’s dash and with Kosi not doing anything, I thought Rivers really provided a nice line breaking speed. He carries the ball well. Not the best kick but certainly not as bad as some of our other mids who have no speed and turn it over constantly. Really hope we play Jefferson next week
  10. Been a while since he’s been suspended. Should go out with a bang and take Maynard out.
  11. Kosi swapping jumpers with Bruest is strange. Is he also retiring? 😂 This game was hot garbage. Zero stars.
  12. Agreed. Looks physically terrible like he can’t run and has no speed. They also hardly played him midfield which tells me he’s carrying something
  13. How amazing when JVR gets a proper kick to his lead he marks it
  14. Rivers and Bowey our only winners today. Petty also ok given limited chances.
  15. Rivers needs to play midfield next week. He is the only player who actually moves the ball He isn’t a great kick but he can kick it long and get us over the press
  16. Woeful. Truly and utterly woeful.
  17. May 😱😭
  18. Feel bad for Howes
  19. I agree but we obviously wanted the run. Hawks killed us on the spread. Howes IMO should be a winger. He has great skills.
  20. Because Howes needs the game time. Pretty hard task to play on a red hot Gunston who is getting silver service. McDonald had no real match up. He would get killed for speed by Gunston as seen with May who is quicker.
  21. Sparrow is killing me
  22. Not this [censored] again Jesus Go align your chakras somewhere else
  23. This is insufferable Our skills are pathetic. Absolutely woeful.
