He did some good things. He could realistically have had 4 goals and then you rave about his game. His goal kicking was atrocious, which is ironic as it’s been quite good at AFL level. He got frustrated at times, but when you look at Jefferson you see a natural forward who just understands how to play that role. Grundy isn’t that. But can he help bring the ball to ground and compete up forward? I think he can. But a natural forward he ain’t.

I still maintain that Geelong got extremely lucky last year. Good injury run. Soft draw. And above all a soft grand final opponent who was nowhere near it. If Pies don’t lose the prelim by a point, and we go into final fit and healthy, Geelong don’t win the flag. I will die on this hill!
