But I could well be wrong on that.

100%, but unfortunately that’s not what Trac wants. This all starts and ends with him. If he came back to the club tomorrow and apologized for the way he’s gone about things, we will all move on. Same can’t be said the other way.

North would be one club where we could get a win win trade. They need mature experience and someone to set standards, and they have a picks and players we would be interested in, anyone from LDU down to Larky. What a shame that Trac would not be caught dead at Arden st.

Unfortunately I think that the people around him don't have his best interests at heart, but rather their own. Which is really sad.

We didn’t have one 3 years ago when he signed a massive deal either. We may not have a home base, but the facilities at both AAMI and Casey are of a very high standard. It’s not like we are at Junction Oval with the rats. Carlton have a home base but they also play a lot of games at Marvel. Hawks well home games to Tassie. Essendon has been irrelevant since Y2K and the Pies have an ongoing racism issue following them. No club is perfect.

It sounds like the issues are just excuses, and his injury is being seen by those closest to him as a golden ticket into a bigger club. Read the extract from the podcast, where he talks about footy just being footy, and the social media stuff. The fact that he's telling different people different reasons, and even the people I speak to about this have no definite idea what the core of his issue is, tells me that this is all a way to cash in while he can. If his issues were shared by the rest of the playing group, do you think there would be such angst towards him?

Sorry to disappoint Andy 😁 He would also know that by going about things in such a public manner and burning the club, that he would be getting little sympathy from both his teammates and the supporters. I never said they are reading this thread. I said they probably Google their name and come to see what is being said about them. It's definitely not everyone, but as if an 18 year old isn't doing that. And where is the ageist slur? I was making a point that most young men with an ego big enough to play footy, would be curious to see what is being said about them online. Social media wasn't a big thing when I was 18, but I have a teenager and I can see just how they operate around this sort of stuff. I reckon you'd be shocked the amount of stuff that is written on here that gets back to players, either directly or indirectly. And Trac wouldn't give one single hoot what anyone at our club thinks about him, let alone the supporters.

Correct Trac has got exactly what he wanted, a situation so bad that keeping him becomes untenable.

The way fans are carrying on that this is all on our club is absolutely insane. Do you think Bont has never had issues at the Dogs? You think Dusty always loved Richmond? You reckon Cripps loved not playing finals all these years? Every club has players who are unhappy at one time or another, including BIG star players. I don't remember Neale coming out and trashing Brisbane because he wanted to go home. I have never seen a single one of them throw a match at their club in a public domain and watch the place burn.

I think the club has held their tongue as long as they could, but now it’s time for the club to make it clear to Trac that this behavior is not going to cause us to bend over backwards. Maybe the club thinks that if the relationship sours on our end, and Trac knows he won’t be welcomed back, that HE would have to compromise on the club he goes to. And that club will be the one that offers us the best deal, NOT the club that makes Trac the most amount of money on social media. Trac can’t have it all his way. He chose to leak the stuff to the media. Does he expect us to sit there and be used as his personal punching bag to achieve his own agenda?

I’m not sure why you find it so outlandish that young players are googling themselves and coming across this site. Maybe the internet wasn’t around when you were in your early 20s? Everyone at the club knows about this site considering Demonland is a long term player sponsor and has had multiple players and FD members join the podcast. Hell, we have had family members of players openly post on here, and I’m sure there are dozens more who post anonymously. WCW is not suggesting Max is reading George Demonland threads at bedtime, but I am sure plenty of young players go online to see what is being said about them, be it here or Bigfooty or social media. I am sure the club is telling them to keep away, but curiosity is part of human nature.

The same goes for us. He signed a long term deal which means if we aren’t happy with a trade, a trade isn’t getting done You can’t eat your cake and then wonder why your pants don’t do up.

I for one can see this narrative turning very quickly against Trac. Whoever is managing this PR disaster for him needs to be sacked. Maybe when he becomes damaged goods he’ll realize that you don’t [censored] where you eat.
