  1. Clark has been a bust, but we were criminally screwed in that trade given Clark's potential ceiling. He came with high risk, high reward factor. Lumumba has also been a massive disappointment. He was a low risk low reward.
  2. I read the first 6 words and nearly vomited Salem to play midfield. Salem NOT moving anywhere. Phew!
  3. Well this thread has gone to [censored]
  4. I also love that Jack Viney is not Cale Morton
  5. So what happens if he gets banned by WADA?
  6. Oh Essendon, the drugs have really gone to your head I'll throw in Dean Terlich to sweeten the deal! The funniest thing about all this, is one of my best mates is a die hard Essendon supporter. When the rumour of this broke, he texted me, and I quote: "Melksham- will trade for a stale packet of salt & vinegar chips. Will bring his own footy".
  7. This better not be the highlight of trade week. Because so far, I'm so underwhelmed I could vomit.
  8. Good god. So many terrible repressed draft memories flooding back!
  9. Surprised they haven't asked for McDonald, Hogan and Brayshaw in return given their trade history 3rd round pick or GTFO!
  10. Well if Melksham is given a 4 year deal, then I'm surprised Howe hasn't asked for 8, and Hogan for eternity!
  11. Obviously Todd Viney read it, choked on his steak and called to get a retraction.
  12. Most important records to break next year: 1. Winning 2 games in a row. Until we break this embarrassing record we will never go anywhere 2. Beating North Melbourne Because I hate their guts
  13. And actually the noise from the crowd and the atmosphere was brilliant I was particularly fond of the deadly silence every time GWS kicked a goal, or the booing. It was a nice touch.
  14. Ugh great. That is completely different and stating the damn obvious I suppose sitting down with us is a good start.
  15. Lets just hope his manager isn't full of horse shite like the other managers generally are. Dear Melbourne, please give him whatever he wants.... money, cars, houses, prostitutes, the world. Just give it to him, lock him away for 20 years and lets all move on.
  16. Privately. Not publicly. I don't like seeing players disagreeing on the field. It shows a lack of unity and it tells your opponent that we are a mess and don't play as a team. Ripe for the picking.
  17. He can be filthy but he needs to learn to reign that in on gameday. It's a bad look and it doesn't help anything. It just makes him look like a petulant child who won't share his toys. I get that playing with a bunch of morons who can't kick to a lead, and having your space taken by your own teammates is annoying. But you deal with it in team meetings and at the breaks. You don't throw a hissy fit on the field, it's completely unprofessional and achieves nothing. Yes Hogan is an amazing talent, but it is his first season. If I was Cross and he yelled at me, I'd tell him to go stick it.
  18. The only Essendon player I'd go near is Zaharakis- clean from the drug saga and quick Plus one less player to have destroy us every single time we play Essendon
  19. I've lived thru Scully-Trengove-Jurrah-Aussie-Clark. It's a miracle I haven't had a nervous breakdown yet. MFCSS is to be expected. Having said that, Hogan keeps me coming to games and I hope that will be the case until I'm 40 and he's 32.
  20. Enjoy it while it lasts. Can't see him sticking around this mediocrity
  21. And when was the last time you saw a KPF as good as Hogan?
  22. I also think that his kicking penetration drops late in games as he gets tired He had another shot from around 50m later in the game and it wasn't quite as good He obviously is still working on his fitness, and with this improving so will his kicking. We often see skills drop in young players as the game and the season wears on.
  23. He consistently kicks 2 goals a game. That's as consistent as a key forward can be, let alone at his age! He's now kicked 1 bag of 5 and 1 of 4, so he is definitely a chance. If he has another 1 or 2 games where he kicks 4 or more, he will win the thing hands down, if the selectors know anything about footy!
  24. In some weird way, the "bad" win yesterday makes me more confident that we can win 2 in a row than ever before We seem to get carried away with good wins and come out flat the following week. Maybe this week is the week!
