  1. I'm a big Hunt fan, but sadly he just doesn't get involved enough. He doesn't win enough of the footy, and when he does get it, he isn't damaging enough to command a spot in the 22. You can have role players getting 10 disposals a game if they bring a unique attribute to the team. For Hunt it was his speed, but sadly he just doesn't get it enough to justify a position in the side, especially when we have Langdon now. I think we should try and trade him. He is good enough to play AFL but he might need a fresh start and a new position to get him going.
  2. Nothing will be more 2020 than missing finals by 0.01% Can this season and year just be done already?
  3. Pickett has a mountain of work to do to become a complete player, but so do most 1st year players. Rarely do they come perfectly packaged and ready to go. Goal kicking and involvement are two massive aspects of his game that he needs to work on. Goal kicking can be a simple fix. Involvement could be about playing more high half forward minutes, which he has done the last two weeks and looked much better in doing so. I don't think Pickett solves our small forward crumbing issues, but he certainly has a role to play going forward.
  4. Melksham will never be dropped. He will need to have a double amputation before Goodwin leaves his bestie out of the side.
  5. I think the point is, that there are businesses particularly in regional Victoria who would be dying for some foot traffic. To have a long weekend when we can't leave the house is pointless and does nothing to stimulate our dying economy. I would rather have a long weekend when I can go away and support a business that desperately needs it, or have a long weekend when we can meet family and friends or go out to dinner. Yes working and teaching from home is a nightmare and we all need a break. But will it really feel like a break when it's just an extended period of sitting at home? With your annoying kids? Unable to drink socially? Waiting for a game of football that isn't even happening in our state?
  6. I think his future may be on a wing which would be excellent. He has good speed but he’s also quite strong. He brings different qualities to Langdon. Whenever he was running into the middle yesterday he made things happen. He’s a gem.
  7. Personally and from an economical point of view, having this long weekend post restrictions would be a lot better. But our premier, as usual, is listening to himself first and everyone else second.
  8. Langdon is a gem. His work rate is unbelievable. Rivers is a serious find. Fun game to watch. Now we wait.
  9. Rivers surely for rising star this kid!
  10. Was actually a fun game to watch. First game I really enjoyed this season in terms of quality of the play.
  11. Omfg Daniels again. Any chance we can defend against the ground ball??? Ridiculous.
  12. This. Works harder than everyone combined.
  13. Rivers what a star!!!!
  14. Our backline has been god awful today. Uncontested marks galore.
  15. Omg he nailed a goal God I love Jetta. What a warrior.
  16. Gawn has been horrible around the ground.
  17. Umpiring is a disgrace.
  18. It was over two weeks ago. How can anyone keep supporting this coach is beyond me. We lose games the same way every week.
  19. Absolute rubbish. This is the [censored] that ends games for us.
  20. Smith with the awareness of Stevie Wonder. Jesus!
  21. He’s rubbish. Goodwin will do anything not to drop his bestie.
  22. Get Melksham the [censored] out of the midfield.
  23. Jesus how many Melbourne players can you waltz through for a goal? Not one player nails a tackle. And Lever inexcusable for dropping that mark. He’s having a stinker.
  24. Go eat donuts and retire you dirty [censored] Mumford. Well done Riv. Doing my fave jumper proud ?
  25. Yep as always, we have a dumb game plan that relies on one thing and one thing only. Dominate clearances. When that doesn’t happen, and it rarely does, we fall apart quicker than a house of cards.
