So I found out today Mark McGowen is a Freo supporter. I always imagined him to be a West Coast fan as he comes across as arrogant and someone who loves to boo an interstater. However I now understand why he’s so insane. Supporting Freo will drive anyone to the brink. It’s not easy.

I hope we employ him in some capacity. A development role with Casey perhaps? I know Matty Whelan already does the indigenous relations, but Nev just seems like such a wonderful role model. I really would hope we can get him doing something so he isn’t lost to the club. He’s too special.

I’m so out of the loop with winning anything that I had no idea that was even a thing. Wish they had golden spoon jumpers so I was familiar with these things.

Hunter is a grub. Happy he played a poor game. When he dropped the ball on the wing in the last quarter I literally lol’ed.

One of my all time favorites. Held us together down back for years with sheer determination and some shoulder tape. As brave as they come. As loyal as they come. An exemplary human being on and off the field. Did so much for so many, including Kosi and countless indigenous players before him. A great of our club and a massive part of this success.

Another vital cog to our success. Was the bull protecting the young cubs. Everyone walked taller with him around. I absolutely think GC should grab him. He can do a lot of good for a young team needing a brute force.

One of my absolute favorites for a long time. Hugely underrated. Put his body on the line for years and held a paper thin defense together. He is another big part of our success, having always set standards and been an amazing mentor to so many, but especially Kosi. Absolutely love him and thank him for everything he has done for us. A truly resilient, wonderful human being on and off the field. All the best to Vanders too. I reckon GC should grab him. Could help set standards and protect some of their younger players.

According to my watch I clocked up 6000 steps during the game. And about 100 liters of alcohol after.

Agreed. He is a big guy yes, but once he was put off balance he hit the ground hard and had a noticeable head bump. He definitely didn't play it up, and if the situation was reversed and Gawn did that to the little t*rd Daniel, the free would have been there. The sheer fact that it was a little guy putting down a big guy is why they didn't pay it I think. But it was late and it was dangerous and it was out of play. A free kick everyday of the week. Absolutely nothing more. But it did mean Gawn went forward and Jacko went into the ruck, and the rest, as they say, is history!
