All along I have said that if Covid only targeted stupid low life scumbags, I would be very happy to open up and let natural selection do the work. Just like I wish we could make it law that if you attend a 'freedom' or lockdown rally you are no longer entitled to receive medical care if you catch Covid. You want your freedom? I have that many cancelled holidays my Jetstar vouchers are maybe going to be enough to pay for me to fly to Perth and watch us play finals. In 2018 the cost of flights to Perth for our prelim were more expensive than the cost of flights to Singapore.

I think Israel is the best case study for Pfizer. It’s struggling against Delta and now they are doing booster shots for over 60s. It looks like Pfizer wears off quicker than AZ. Both are still quite effective in stopping you from getting very sick and dying and that is the main point. We need vaccines so people don’t die or get hospitalized with Covid. People can get mild symptoms and we all move on with our lives because it becomes another type of cold and flu. It’s the fact that so many people get so ill that’s the issue. The only benefit of being so far behind our vaccination program here is we are learning what works and what doesn’t from everyone else. There are now studies into mixed vaccinations and booster shots. I’m sure once we all get two jabs we will need to get a third one next year. Maybe of the same vaccine we’ve already had or maybe of something totally different or new. Novanex studies seem really promising on Delta but they are small studies still.

Games will go ahead with no crowds as planned like they always have.

I feel you. I am meant to go interstate on my now 3 times rescheduled honeymoon in 3 weeks. That holiday is now slipping away faster than Gold Coast last week. If I don't have a holiday soon I will probably lose my mind.

She was amazing as always. I think they scored her a little low on the difficulty but what an effort to come third after the week she’s had.

They’ve basically never really said he’s injured or with what. They sort of referenced it in passing in a press conference. I suspect he’s struggling a bit with groin issues that they’re managing. Don’t think they want to advertise it tho which is fair enough. I think Tom is a good chance to play. If his back was really bad they wouldn’t have put him through that flight or made him leave his family for 7 days to stare at a hotel wall.
