  1. UPDATE: we just got our results (both negative).... 4 hours to get swabbed, 7 hours to get results. Absolutely worth $300!!! We went through Clinical Labs if anyone is interested or desperate. It's $150 per person. Also I applied for the border pass and it was instantaneous
  2. I am two hours deep in the line to get tested. A test I paid privately for. Absolute joke.
  3. I did not know either. But my GP friend suggested it. It’s only for asymptomatic travel testing. I think it’s meant for overseas travel as you need to bring a passport and you get a certificate that is valid internationally. I assume Anna will also accept it 🙄 $300 is a big chunk of money for 2 of us that we didn’t want to spend. But honestly the cost of cancelling if I don’t get my test results back on time is far worse.
  4. I couldn’t handle the stress of waiting. So paid $300 for both me and my husband to go tomorrow to a private testing clinic that promises results in 24 hours. A total joke.
  5. How is getting a PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival, without the need to quarantine until you get results, anymore useful than doing a Rapid Antigen Test at the airport prior to departure? What stops me getting a PCR test, then going to a backpackers and licking the door handles and then flying to QLD 3 days later while positive? All these premiers are doing is chest beating. There is no rhyme or reason to put this much pressure on a system that is meant to serve symptomatic and close contacts, rather than people wanting to travel who are DOUBLE VACCINATED. Either open your borders, or don't. But don't open your borders because you need the tourist dollars at the expense of overwhelming testing centres and labs, so people who truly need to get tested are turned away or isolating for days on end waiting for results. It's selfish and unnecessary. Make me do a RAT daily for all I care.
  6. What a joke. We will waste half a day while up there to get a day 5 test when we are leaving on day 7, and unlikely to even get a result by then. Absolutely moronic behavior. Honestly if I knew those were going to be the rules I wouldn’t have bothered booking this bloody holiday. Not worth the stress 🤬
  7. I’m in charge of bringing the cheese platter for Christmas lunch today. My Richmond mad in laws are gonna love the Melbourne premiership cheese board I’m gonna bring to the occasion.
  8. When did they get tested? Why is going on holidays so stressful now? Bloody moronic premiers.
  9. I’m going for a week of holidays. I don’t want to quarantine
  10. I’m flying to QLD (hopefully) on Thursday. [censored] premier wants me tested because the hell with loading an already overloaded system that should be freed up for those who are symptomatic or close contacts… how long has everyone waited for results if they got a test done after attending the B&F? I worry that 72 hours won’t be enough to test, get results and then apply and receive the border pass.
  11. All Demonlanders already got the best gift this year. Literally nothing under the tree tomorrow will be as good as winning a flag. It’s all downhill from here guys. Merry Christmas.
  12. I just hope Neale is safe
  13. Needs to kick 7 in next year’s premiership to secure a top 10 spot. Don’t be stupid. Congratulations to all the winners, and especially by to Clarry. Our unicorn in red and blue.
  14. Adelaide has a lot of cultural problems. Just look at their [censored] ex-captain.
  15. Agreed. Harmes is a good honest player in a very very good side. Treloar has plenty on him, especially when it comes to ball use. I wouldn't be surprised if Harmes finds himself struggling to make the 22, if Sparrow continues to develop as I suspect, along with JJ. I went to an event a couple of weeks back and Gawn was one of the guest speakers (along with Jonesy).
  16. According to Gawn at half time in the prelims Hawkins came up to him and said “you guys will choke”. After Gawn kicked his 5th he told Hawkins that it looks like they’re about to choke for the 11th time in a prelim. Nothing will compare to winning a flag, but smashing Geelong in a prelim is just about the greatest feeling one can experience in football.
  17. I’ll have 6 of these thanks 😂 I am always happy to help with design idea if you want by the way.
  18. McCrae is a ball magnet. He just doesn’t have the acceleration of Clarry which is why he isn’t as good. Oliver can gain 5m on his opponent in a flash, which is why he is so damaging and so hard to stop. McCrae is a very very good player and I would love him in our side. But Oliver is a once in a generation freak of nature.
  19. The Dogs list is deep with talent but it’s not balanced. They have a lot of very good ball winners in the middle but they have a poor backline, no good ruck and their forwardline is suspect without Bruce taking away a tall. The issue with the Dogs midfield is they are us in 2018. Bees to the honeypot. Too many players doing the same thing. It’s why we were able to get so many center clearance goals in the granny. Nobody defended. They all tried winning the stoppage.
  20. Go find a Victoria club that would agree to play us up there with no cash reward. For an interstate club it’s neither here nor there and means they don’t have to play us at home. We sell this game for money not because it’s any sort of help when it comes to winning games.
  21. They drink pickle juice on the bench... helps with cramping apparently.
  22. I think it's safe to say that leading into finals next year, all teams in contention will be advised to go into some form of self isolation. You'd hate to miss a final because you went to buy pickles and got Covid.
  23. To have not only a successful club on field, but a financially, culturally and structurally stable one off the field, is something I don't think any of us could have dreamt of less than a decade ago. What a time to be alive!
  24. On the other hand we played much better against top teams last year than against the bottom teams.
  25. And we play very very well at Marvel. It holds no fears.
