Where in my post did I say he was not a great footballer? I said he will run the AFL one day. He has a finger in every pie and the media love him. Just because I find him and his club insufferable, doesn’t mean I don’t recognize what a great player he’s been over the journey.

No coincidence that he played more midfield minutes and got votes. He’s wasted down back but I understand why he’s been down there.

Makes sense. Maybe he did an indoor session today or maybe he’s on a rest day. I guess we will wait and see if he is at main training on Wednesday (?). Goodwin was very confident he will be back this week as he’s progressing well through the protocol. He was also very clear last week that Spargo is not ready, so clearly those two were having different progressions through the concussion. Spargo must have had it worse.

He is apparently only a couple of weeks away which gives him 2 games at Casey first. That would be about right I would think. They won’t let him waste his time at Casey for any longer unless he’s really in bad touch or struggling with fitness/pain.

Maybe because it was the captains run it was fine since it's not a competitive hit out? I have no idea how these protocols work... well clearly they don't... hence the lawsuits.

Same way that they tell me how great Hawkins is, because he literally decapitates his opponent each week so he can take a mark, and the umpires let it happen. Imagine if Gawn could do half the [censored] Hawkins does... he would be taking 95 contested marks a game.

I reckon Clarko gave Oliver 4. He basically killed the game in the first quarter. Made sure it was done and dusted. Great to see Kade recognized too! Bloody Trac is why Clarry won’t win a Brownlow by the way. And why Trac won’t win one either. Rude 😂

He’s not out of concussion protocol yet so maybe that’s why he isn’t training? Was Spargo training?

He might have had to wait a long time for his opportunity, but he’s become a more well rounded and better player because of it. The midfield time he got at Casey made him a complete player at AFL level in that small high half forward role. No chance he would have got midfield time at senior level to develop his gut running and defensive role. And because he’s such a well rounded player now, he won’t be in and out of the team like a lot of inexperienced players, so I hope he understands that and sticks around long term to reap the rewards. Been in my top 5 best players so far this season.

100% Hunty got a raw deal. He didn’t want to go. I am frankly shocked that he didn’t have more interest from better clubs. Given the trend for fast ball movement and going down the line, I would have thought he could have got a regular game at some decent clubs. Certainly wasted at goddamn West Coast. What a disgrace they are.

They might push him til after the Freo game and then bring Salem straight in for him as head into a difficult month (Carlton, Collingwood, Geelong).

Jurrah was different. I feel sad for him that he wasted his life because he could have been an AFL great and a rich one at that. Kosi is destined to be a star. Thankfully not at another club!

And kicking 50+ goals a year consistently, which most key forwards would be thrilled about. He is the best medium forward in the game. Period. Don’t change who he is or what he is.

Simple answer is yes. He’s completely underrated and is in the top 6 best forwards in the game for mine. I have only Cameron and Curnow ahead of him so far this season.

For someone who is apparently struggling with something, Chandler is playing bloody sensational football. Same goes for Fritta. JVR on light duties not a surprise. Wondering if he’s going to get a rest this week. He won’t make it to September without proper breaks.
