Malthouse adventure will end in tears
cowboy_from_hell replied to bush demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
He might go to Port. It's the only job where Clubs don't interview coaches. The Coach interviews the club. -
Jamar signed a new deal with us. I get you like Grundy and I like Hogan and want him to be a dee but I wouldn't trade away our only proven ruckman for him.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY

I'm all for that. What ever gets Hogan I am happy with. -
Jordie or any other tagger won't play when we have an elite group of midfielders. The pies don't tag they get tagged. It's not his fault the rest of the midfield group are outclassed every week.

Membership numbers will depend a lot on the off season. If a big fish is landed then optimism will spread once again. Plus viney and high draft picks will help and we will be front page news for some positive reasons.

I brought in my brother who isn't much of a footy fan but he is paid up and my mother who was a bombers fan but she is getting on in life and I told her if she wants to go to the footy and wants me to take her it would have to be as a Melbourne member. Now she is a die hard fan and would divorce my dad if Nathan jones was available. My kids had no choice who they supported and they love the kids memberships

Malthouse adventure will end in tears
cowboy_from_hell replied to bush demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I love how malthouse states he won't dance on any graves but then says he wants to coach next year or never again. He has in some way put the sword through ratten. If cloke doesn't go to us I hope he goes to Carlton and they get done for salary cap breaches again. -
On The Couch lacks integrity, relevance
cowboy_from_hell replied to Ron Burgundy's topic in Melbourne Demons
I like the fact on the couch has lost the plot. With so many footy shows out there I had to cut one of them from my Foxtel IQ. -
By the time we are winning more then we are losing and then win a flag I would Imagine the thread titles will be along the lines of " I told you Watts is better then Nic Nat" and "Faith in Morton has won us a flag" and comments will all be surrounded by Demonland demanding a 10 year contract for Neeld. No one will admit being wrong but rightfully so no one will care because we have the flag.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY

Picking up a gun inside mid who is playing against experienced AFL players as a teenager is not getting shafted in my eyes. I don't care if we have to use a high pick on him. I will not feel shafted at all if viney is read out at pick 3. At least for once we can say in years to come we got a high pick right for once. -

How nice would it have been to see Cook,Bennell and Morton play VFL before the draft? You are exactly right the kid is playing well in the VFL so just bloody get him. -
I'm not saying anything or Range Rover will start a poll on it.
-
I just want a flag so we can hold a press conference and Scwhab is there with Watts,Morton,Neeld and any other whipping boy and they all step up to the microphone, clear their throats and begin and end the press conference with F you herald sun and F you Brock Mclean and F you Energy watch and F you Wojo (still haven't forgotten) and so on.

cowboy_from_hell replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just get Viney. I don't give a stuff where just get him. Christ he is already playing well at VFL unlike bloody Cook. If he were to be at another club next year it would be damn hard for me to respect this club anymore. -
Is this where I am supposed to pretend I know if he is doing a good job or not? I have no idea and I imagine a lot of supporters don't know. So good on you CS I think?
-
I don't understand how tanking would have happened. Did the players organise it? Or do you think Sticks did? But wouldn't Sticks just fire Ratten anyway if Mick wanted the job? He wouldn't need Carlton to lose to fire Ratten. Carlton just suck.

Who We Picked/Missed ... A Tale of Recruiting Woe

Reading this thread is like watching the extended edition Blue ray box set of "The shire" with interviews and the director's narration included. -
Beams signs for 3 ... Cloke edges closer to Dees?

STOP THE PRESSES!!!! -
Id like to go to the g always thinking and not hoping we will at a minimum have a crack. I want viney to take out wojo (still haven't forgotten) and I want Nathan jones to be a all Australian

I remember that game well. Kosi is always known for getting knocked out and on that day Stef kept Kneeing Kosi in the head with his massive leap. He is a keeper for me and needs to put consecutive games together in 2013 to show his true potential.

A lot of experts and commentators don't know what they are talking about. They jumped on our bandwagon after belting Sydney and Adelaide which was a very easy thing to do. A lot in the industry just regurgitate what others say.

Back from a knee reco and bigger blokes take...... Ah [censored] it I can't be bothered.

Looks like he is running with a anvil on his back. I think/hope its a heavy workload and he will thrive because of it next year.

Can't wait to send off green in style and I've gotta get out of my house as a few drinks were consumed last night and my wife holds a hangover as well Gill from the Simpsons holds down a steady job

Jai Sheehan and Jack Fitzpatrick.
cowboy_from_hell replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm very happy with Fitz down forward. If we don't land cloke I wouldn't mind seeing Fitz and Clark as our forwards next year. Fitz has pace for his size and that is his strength. If he is fit he can run his larger opponents into the ground I don't know if he is much of a ruckmen though
